Chapter 68: Casino Royale

“Excuse me?” A voice appeared behind them and they panned their heads in the direction of the voice. Both of them froze on the spot when a familiar face that was the same as Larcade’s stood in front of them. “Is something wrong?” He said with a smile, but his eyes held that boring look. 

“I saw you two fighting. Could you tell me so we can resolve it? I’m afraid that you're making the other guests uncomfortable.” He said in a gentle voice, but his expression did not wear a gentle expression at all. Larcade noticed the name pinned on his right chest and read it,  Loki. ‘Okay, we’re doomed,’

“We apologize,” Larcade said, trying to not make it obvious that he was somehow surprised and half nervous meeting him unexpectedly. “We just have a little misunderstanding,” Larcade said trying to be as calm as possible. Loki looked at both of them but he then stared at Damian. Loki raised his brows as he looked at Damian. The said guy was glaring at him without blinking. His face has a scowl plastered on it and bad energy seeping out of him. Larcade's jaw drops at his companion’s expression, ‘How the heck should we supposed to stay lowe-key when he wears his heart on his sleeve?’ 

Loki managed to ignore him, “Then I must get going,” He said with a bow, “You should,” Damian muttered under his breath. Loki halted and looked at him surprised. ‘What is wrong with this dude?’ Loki thought trying his best not to react to his behavior. “What he meant was we should too.” Larcade tried to save their selves as not to be noticed by Loki. “We don’t wanna waste your time and I deeply apologize because of it” Larcade bowed and link his arms with Damian and dragged him. Loki watched their back as they walk away and quickly dismissed his rising annoyance at the guy beside Larcade.

“ The point of this disguise is staying low-key! What part of low-key that you did not understand!” Larcade said with gritted teeth as he pinch Damian’s arms. He then smiled as he accidentally lock eyes with a random guest. Damian muffled his whimper because of the pain and rolled his eyes. “I can’t help it, I want to beat the guy.” He said nonchalantly and Larcade had an urge to punch the guy beside him. “If you did I’m gonna kill you,” He said as he facepalmed himself. Felt that the demon beside him slowly draining his energy by annoying him. “Anyways, Neveah is with Scarlet. We saw Loki, what is Lucas doing?” Larcade asked as he look at his companion who just shrug.

Meanwhile, After all of them separated Lucas went directly to the game hall where all kinds of people played games. Lucas’s eyes sparkled at the sight that greet him. People with serious faces and some people with excitement on their expressions. He admired everything in the hall until it landed on something in the ceiling. A giant orb crystal chandelier was hanging giving light to the hall. Lucas squint his eyes when he saw some glowing green light swirling in the chandelier. ‘It’s beautiful isn’t it sir?” A voice came from behind him but he was too busy staring at the chandelier. “Yes, It’s mesmerizing,” He said somehow in trance. “The moment I came here that chandelier was an eye-catcher,” The man beside him chuckled. “Came here?” Lucas asked as he finally look a the guy but was shocked to see someone that he did not expect. “Yes sir, I’m a new worker in here,” Alexander said with a smile. Holding on his left hand was a tray full of champagne. Lucas froze in the spot still shocked he then recalled the moments he had with Alex.

This makes me feel aroused,”  Alex said, smirking confidently. Neveah, Lucas, and Larcade froze at what he said. Alex saw their expression and was also confused. The three panned their eyes between Alex's leg before going back to his face. 

“Not like that you imbeciles!” Alex's face flushed with embarrassment while covering his below. The three just stayed there staring at him. ‘Then why the hell did you choose that choice of word?’ The three thought at the same time.

“Sir?” Alexander called out to him made him flinch in surprise to see him close.  “Are you okay?” Alexander said with a worried face. ‘That’s right, because of this disguise he doesn’t realize it was me,’ Lucas gulped and cleared his throat. “Well, yes. Can I have one champagne, please?” He said in a polite manner acting like he wasn’t panicking trying to calm himself down. Alexander then offered him his tray and Lucas took one glass, “Well then sir I’ll see you around,” Alexander said and then walked away. Lucas felt his hands tremble as he sighed in relief he then gulped down the entire drink and placed it into a random waiter’s tray that passed by him.

‘Okay, confirmed that they’re here,’ He thought while thinking about how to avoid them comp[letely not to make obvious that he was looking for something. He then decided to admire some guests who were playing poker. His plan was just to pass by. But when the guest was so hyped up and was excited Lucas can’t help but to look. Alexander vanishes in his mind together with his worries. He stayed there for long without knowing until his phone vibrated. He quickly took it but he dropped it when someone accidentally bumped him. 

“I apologize!” He heard a girl’s voice but he was focused on picking up his phone until he noticed a female’s hand was the one who picked up her phone first. He stood up and saw a girl. She was wearing a pink satin dress that wasn’t too revealing but sexy. Her hair was in a loose bun and the diamond earrings on her ears were also noticeable. Lucas paused, “Thank you,” He said and took his phone from her grasp. The girl was stunned at first at his actions that seem not to be awed by her. She cleared her throat before striking up a conversation, “Is the game exciting?” She said as she tried to peek over the man who was serious in gaming. 

“Yeah,” Lucas said as he also focus his attention on the game. The female steals a glance at Lucas and smiles knowingly, “My name is Alya. Alya Chestnut” She said offering her hand. Lucas look at it before accepting it, “Lu---” He stopped himself when he realized something. ‘That’s right we’re in disguise. Not that they knew my name.’ He cleared his throat ‘Just think of a random name, Lucas!’ He look at Alya who was waiting for him to reply. “Lucius,” He answered. Alya tilts her head at the name. ‘Whatever!’ Lucas closed his eyes for a moment before smiling, “ Lucius Potter,” He answered but he contain his embarrassment because of the ridiculous name that he came up with. “Lucius Potter? Quite a unique name!” Alya said. She chuckled made Lucas also laugh awkwardly. 

“Can I buy you a drink?” Alya asked. Lucas was too stunned to speak as he did not expect a girl to invite him. “Well that would be nice,” He said and they walk out heading to the bar/club. Lucas and Alya went inside and saw a huge crowd dancing on the floor with some sexy EDM music. Lucas widens his eyes at the massive people. Suddenly he felt someone grab his hands and pulled him, “ Follow me,” He heard Alya shout amidst the music. He was dragged by Alya and was successfully arrive at the bar. “That was hard!” She said as she smile. Lucas chuckled. “But you did get us in here successfully,” Lucas said as he took a seat on the stool, Alya did the same too. 

They talked for some time, laughing and exchanging jokes. Lucas’s phone vibrated again and he took it to and saw Larcade’s message. Lucas Eastwood where are you? Neveah is with Scarlet and I’m Damian, hope you’re safe He bit his lip in nervousness and Alya saw it. “ Lucius? Is everything fine?” Alya said with a worried voice. “Oh yeah! Everything is great!” He said with a smile and tuck his phone into his coat pocket. “So, Uhmm Lucius?” Alya started while stirring his drink with her straw. Lucas sat there anticipating what she was about to say. “You’re a nice guy and we clicked on easily,” She said. Lucas noticed the blush on her face and her ears. Lucas felt a sweat drop on his forehead as he sense a bad feeling about what she was about to say. He then flinched when Alysa look at him and leaned closer touching his chest. 

Lucas felt a shiver when Alya touched him, “So how about we go somewhere private?” She said in a somewhat sultry voice. ‘What????!!” Lucas widens his eyes at the question. “ We could book at the hotel,” She bit her lip as she traced Lucas’s abs at this moment Lucas was having a mental breakdown and was panicking when he feels Alya leaning for his lips. “Alya?” Someone called out to her that made the said girl pull out from him. Lucas felt a sense of relief as he touch his beating heart. ‘I almost lose my first kiss to a girl that I don’t even like,’ Thinking like that he unconsciously thought of a certain person and he blushed because of this, ‘Saving my lips. Save your lips!’ He reminded himself as he tried to calm his heart down.

“Lucas?” A familiar voice made him widen his eyes. He snapped his head and saw someone he did not expect. “Neveah?” He called out as he stood up. “What the heck are you doing here?!” both of them said in unison as they pointed out at each other. Suddenly a throat interrupts them. “You two knew each other?” Scarlet and Alya look at them. Neveah and Lucas then look at the two of them, “You two knew each other?” They also said in unison.

Meanwhile, Damian was walking through every hall still looking for the energy that he felt a while ago. Larcade follows behind him. The said guy started to get annoyed as they have been walking for several minutes now. “How does the energy vanish?” Larcade asked but was ignored by Damian. “I said, how did the energy disappear I thought it was here?” Larcade then began to annoy Damian as he did not like the said Demon ignoring him. He also did not like the fact that he was with him. Larcade pursed his lips when Damian did not acknowledge him again for the nth time. Larcade rolled his eyes. 

Suddenly Damian stop something when he realized something. Larcade also halted in his steps. “Wait,” He muttered and then frantically turn to Larcade who flinch. He then grab his shoulders and leaned him closer. Larcade furrowed his brows at his behavior. “ You should do it again!” He said starting at Larcade’s eyes. “What?” Larcade looked at him with confusion. “A while ago when you’re mad, your eye glowed! Your power is calling it,” Damian let go of his shoulders. “What?” He said with squinted eyes trying to understand his companion. “Try to release a little bit of energy in you may be in that way the elementia can be tracked.” He said.

“What do you mean? You’re the one who said that I can’t use my powers because I have not awakened yet!” Larcade retorts. “I know. However, I noticed something your eyes glow when you express certain emotions like anger,” Damian  stated, “Like you’re feeling angry, because of the uncontrollable feeling your power unconsciously leaks within you,” Larcade then reacted at a certain word, “Leak?!” Damian rolled his eyes at this feeling done at his companion, “Anyways, I had to be angry to track the elementia? What am I hulk?!” Larcade said in disbelief still don’t know what exactly he’ll do.|” Just try it, visualize the elementia in your mind,” Damian tried the best he could to help him.

“How can I visualize it when I don’t know what the heck it looks like!” They started bickering, which led them to waste their time. “Okay! Just--” Damian sighed trying to not get annoyed. “Just do it,” He said in a serious manner. Larcade exhaled first, he then scanned the hall to make sure that they did not get any intention. He closed his eyes and visualize something. He decided to visualize it as a green flame.  Damian waited for him and then a sudden force blasted from Larcade made him stumble. “Lar--” But he was cut by himself when he finally felt the familiar energy again. “Way to go Larcade”
