Neveah’s snores were heard in Larcade’s room. The said owner sighed for the nth time because of the noise. He was reading a book when his oh so ‘’ favorite’’ cousin burst into his room then occupied his bed. Larcade rolled his eyes and glance a the sleeping girl on his bed. He stared at him with blank eyes. ‘Should I get rid of her?’ He thought swerving his chair facing her direction, “But how? Burnin or burying?” Larcade muttered while looking so serious. Suddenly, Neveah jolted awake. “Ahha! I know what it is!” She shouted. She then noticed Larcade sitting on the floor. Both of his feet were on the chair. Larcade’s position made Neveah think that it was hella comfortable. “What are you doing?” She said in a voice full of concern for his cousin.
Larcade’s reply was a long grunt. Neveah then quickly stood up to help her cousin. “I was surprised when you jolted awake. I thought you heard what I said,” Larcade said while taking Neveah’s hands to help himself stand up. “What did you say?” Neveah asked with eyes filled with curiosity this made Larcade avert his eyes. “Nothing actually,” He said while sitting upon his chair again, “What did you say about knowing something?” He tried to change the subject to avoid Neveah’s interest in what he said. “I know why that damn gorilla is acting like a rampaging animal!” She said in an excited manner. This made Larcade raise one of his brows. “You unlock the code why he has anger issues?” Larcade asked not getting on with what she meant.
“What he has anger issues?” Larcade’s question was replied by a question by Neveah. “He doesn’t have one?” This made their conversation confusing. Both cousins stared at each other with slightly squinting eyes. “No-no I think not,” Neveah answered wanting to get out of the confusing loophole of questions replied with questions. “Although, I’m not actually sure.” She bite her lips, “But, you’ll see,” She then walked out of Larcade’s room leaving the said guy sitting there with no understanding of the conversation they just had. “Okay?” He said to himself in the silent room. He was about to return reading his book when her mom suddenly arrived at his door and knock. The door sounds made Larcade focuses his attention on his mother. “Lar, dear could you help me clean the attic?” Athena asked gently to her son to which Larcade nod. He put a bookmark first on the novel he read and exits his room.
The next day Neveah was sitting on her desk wide awake, enthusiastically staring at their teacher. The said educator that was in the front notice Neveah’s stares which made her uncomfortable and wasnt able to focus on her lecture. Larcade noticed it and facepalmed. Suddenly, the bell rings out indicating that it was lunchtime. Neveah without thinking put his hand to cover her ears. A new habit that she take whenever she heard a bell ring. Larcade stood up and approach Neveah. The girl saw her cousin but he ignored him and quickly glance at Lucas’s seat but the said guy was nowhere to be found. “Wha--?” She looks around only to find Lucas greeting Mark in their hallway. Mark noticed Neveah and waved her, hello but Neveah pretends not to notice. She clicked her tongue. “I think something is going on with that Mark guy,” She said when she felt Larcade beside her. “Like what, psychotic aura?” Axel suddenly turns his body to face Neveah. The said girl chuckled at his response. “Why are you so interested in Lucas anyway?” Larcade asks grabbing a nearby chair and settling it in the side of Neveah’s desk.
“Well, I wasn’t,” Neveah tried to make excuses but can’t find any word. “Well, his behavior was totally odd last time. “ Axel blurted out. “Oh, really?” Larcade said with a fake amused tone. Axel nods at his question. “Well, yesterday when I saved a poor guy’s life Lucas was about to beat me but then this punk appears and kick Lucas’s earning a painful groan coming from him,” Axel stood up from his chair and reenact every word he said in the scene he seen in his perspective. “And then, Neveah said, “Don’t touch my BFF4F” and then Lucas said, “Oh sorry miss I can’t fight you you’re weak,” and then Neveah was annoyed and she said,” Axel pointed his fingers to the said girl. He also tried to mimic both of their voices but it came out funny. Neveah and Larcade and even everyone present in the room stared at him with wide eyes, confusion on all of their faces, “And then they were about to fight!” He said in a loud voice. “But Mark interrupt it and Lucas was acting unusual when he’s around, they walk away, and the guy I saved was also gone and Lucas was really acting weirdly that made Neveah babble everything about me in her Messanger account and now here we are!”
Both of his hands were now raised sidewards indicating that his presentation was over. The room was silent, afterward. “Dude, that was so lame. You should consider not doing that again.” Neveah said her voice monotone. Larcade slowly nods at his cousin’s statement. Suddenly a clap earns all of the students in their classroom’s attention. It was Mark. Behind him was Lucas who had a horrifying look because of Axel’s presentation. ‘I did not sound like that,’ Lucas thought. He did not overcome what he saw and thought of considering putting bleach on his eyes. “That’s some nice storytelling you got their mate!” Mark said while still clapping. He then took a step inside their classroom and approach Axel. This made the guy terrified and stood there. He was almost in front of Axel when Neveah stood up and put his palms upfront to stop Mark. The male scoffed in disbelief at what Neveah sowed to him.
“That’s not really cute girl,” He commented. Neveah’s eyes twitch with annoyance but then smile, “ Oh no I wasn’t trying to be cute. No likes of you deserve my cute side,” She said mimicking his eye smile but in a funny way. Mark stared at her and chuckled.”I was genuinely interested in you too bad you turn me off,” Mark said leaning closer to Neveah. Larcade sense the anger building upon Mark but he was frozen to his spot and just sat down there looking down afraid that he’d be his next target. He knew his cousin would do stupid things that would eventually get her in danger but Larcade was eaten by fear. He wanted to help but he overthought himself as useless if he ever did step up. Suddenly a hand grabbed Mark’s shoulder leaning him away from Neveah. Mark glared at the person but his expression quickly change into amusement. It was Lucas with a boring look.
Neveah, Axel, and Larcade stared at Lucas. Larcade saw something on Lucas’s face. A slight hint of guilt and worried were painted on him. Larcade slightly tilted his head and scold himself that Lucas would not be that type of person to feel guilty about people he never cared for. “What is this again, Lucas?” Mark swat his arms and glared at the tall male. “You’re stopping me again?” Mark’s voice was laced with annoyance and everyone in the classroom can sense the tension going, not until, “What is the meaning of this?!” Their social studies teacher and let me tell you a wicked one arrived just in time before a fight broke out between Lucas and Mark. “And, who are you, students? You’re not from this class! Out imbeciles! Out!” He shouted and hit them with his stick. Mark hissed at this and glared at the teacher but was hit with his thin stick again. All of his goons went out but before Mark can go away he glare at Lucas once again. “And you! Mr. Eastwood, my eyes are on you. Don’t do such foolishness again!” He shouted, his brows furrowed and his frown stretched downward. Lucas did not reply and instead took a sit on his seat. All of the students get to their proper arrangement and seat, terrified of their social studies teacher.
