Chapter 15: Take Aim

“The name’s Damian, the late Great Sorceress aspiring student.”

Hyen gasped in disbelief, his assumption was right, this demon was the one who escaped the prison. He was on guard when Damian’s magic aura surrounds the entire area. ‘Magic aura?’ Hyen stared at him, still hesitant to attack. His eyes landed on the three humans behind Damian and smirked. ‘The only way I can win this fight is to take them hostages.’ He thought, deciding that the girl is the one standing at the center beside the two is who he will take.

He strikes a magic beam to Damian and dashed headed to the three. Larcade, Neveah, and Lucas widen their eyes when they saw Hyen running towards them. Damian blocked the beam with a barrier also blocking the three. However, Hyen teleport inside the barrier and was about to grab Neveah’s neck when a wooden stick hit his face that caused him to fly away hitting a wall. It resulted in a BANG! and cracks all over the part where he lands.

Damian, Larcade, and Neveah widen their eyes before looking at Lucas who was panting holding a wooden stick. ‘How did I just do that?’ Lucas thought looking at Hyen who was coughing up blood. Damian and the others just stared at him dumbfounded.

Damian who was in disbelief was looking back at Hyen and Lucas, ‘Where did he get that strength?’ All kinds of thoughts run through Damian’s mind like how the hell did Lucas manage to blow him away and damaged him enough to make him cough blood.

“Lucas you are a very dangerous man.” Neveah glance at Lucas, who was also clueless about what he’d done. All of them were shocked and trying to process what just happened that they didn’t even see Hyen stand up and dash to them emitting a powerful brown magic aura.

Damian again blocks it with a barrier and throws a punch at Hyen’s solar plexus. Hyen cough up, he grabbed Damian’s arms with his strength and managed to lift him and threw him. Damian fell onto the floor; he didn’t get enough time to process when Hyen attacked him again. Damian noticed that his in a state of unconsciousness.

Hyen was going on a rampage, recklessly emitting his magic aura. Because of the surge of magic the lion whimpers, uncomfortable and it caught Larcade’s attention. He knelt down, hesitant to touch it. The lion notices and stare at him for a second and then lean its head to let it touch him. Larcade gasp and smile, petting it.

Damian tried to block Hyen’s power but it was cracked and broken. Hyen successfully landed a hit on Damian’s face. Damian who was frustrated showed his claws and stabbed Hyen’s shoulders. Hyen screamed in pain. The shout was terrifying, Damian backed away escaping Hyen, and headed back to Larcade and the other’s side.

Larcade stands up when Damian arrived but he widened his eyes, all of them when Hyen slowly shed his skin. His human form was now falling off and it replaces with a beastly form. Fur covered his entire body with black spots, he is now standing up in his four legs.

“A hyena?” Neveah said still staring at the sudden transformation.

“But it looks too large to be a hyena,” Larcade stated.

Hyen’s new form was as large as the lion. The lion was not an average Lion at all, both of the creatures, towered over them that made them terrified. Damian can’t help but ask himself what he’s going to do, now that he made Hyen transformed. The lion growled behind them that caught the four’s attention. It stands up walking Infront of them. Damian stared at the lion confused. ‘This is like a battle between a lion and a hyena.’ Neveah thought looking at both of the supersized animals.

“Wait— are they creatures?” Larcade asked Damian glancing at him. Damian nods, planning something to help the lion.

He knew that the hyena monster’s goal is to capture this white lion and Damian swore that he would never let it happen. Animal creatures are the rarest to find, since they live their lives in hiding, and they don’t have thought about mingling with other creatures or sorcerers or any supernatural beings.

If Damian can help the white lion, maybe, it can help them look for the other creatures. Damian hides his claws and swaps them with his magic aura. ‘Maybe, if I can heal his wounds, then—’ Damian let his magic aura surrounds the white lion. The said creature paused for a second and glance at Damian, the lion huffed before accepting his magic. The white lion’s wounds started to heal slowly.

He growled to Hyen, and then Hyen dashed to the white lion, but the lion avoids his attack and bit its neck. Hyen shrieked trying to break free from Lion’s mouth. Hyen turned his head also trying to bite the Lion to which he succeeded, tearing a part of some of the lion’s flesh.

Neveah gasped, as blood spurted in the area. Neveah covers her mouth trying not to vomit. The lion let go of its neck, and it made Hyen break free and push the white lion. The lion scratched Hyen’s body, slicing his flesh. Hyen backed away, wincing. The white lion tries to stand up, its legs tremble as its wounds made excruciating pain.

Damian dashed towards Hyen with his fist but Hyen just attack him with a magic beam that comes from his mouth. The three gaped their mouth open.

“How can he have an enormous strength and an enormous magic power?!” Neveah complained.

Damian who has no time to make a barrier blocked it with his hands. He hissed when it burned his arms.

“That’s a cheat!” Neveah complained again worried about Damian.

She grabbed Lucas's collar and shake it making Lucas’ body vibrates. As much as the three wanted to help their companion and the lion they can’t do anything. They knew that they were humans, and if they step in, it will surely give Damian trouble.
