“What?!”  All of them shouted to Neveah. Suddenly a loud stomping on the floor can be heard headed to Larcade’s room, the door swung open revealing Larcade’s dad again. The boys covered their mouths when they saw Noah Dewin’s pissed expression.  “If you kids don’t want to sleep, Imma yeet you all to that window.”  Larcade’s dad warns pointing at the room’s window. They all nod indicating that they won’t do it again. With one last glare, Noah Dewin shuts the door. They all sighed, Neveah glared at the three boys and smacked their heads.  “I won’t allow you to come, Neveah,” Larcade said after he regained his composure. The least he wanted is to drag those close to him especially his cousin Neveah.  “You can’t decide that,” Neveah argued, insisting that she wants to join on their trip. “Well, who are you to say that, huh?” Lucas said, he was dragged into Neveah’s schemes, ‘You can drag me anywhere but not to this supernatural being’s battle.’ He thought but Neveah just pinched his side causing him to whimper. He swats Neveah’s hand rubbing the part that she pinched. “I’m your family. I don’t want you to go on this unknown journey alone.” Neveah tried to convince Larcade. Neveah knows that this journey will be led to them so many dangerous situations, but she also knows dealing with it alone is hard. Though it may be stupid, he wants to be on Larcade’s side for as long as she wants.  “That’s why I refuse, you’re my family I don’t want you to get involved in this dangerous situation.” Larcade grabbed Neveah’s shoulders lightly shaking them.  “I know it’s dangerous, but I finally made my decision, I will come with you two.” Neveah strongly refutes. Lucas who was just sitting there awkwardly don’t want to go but Neveah has been nudging him. “Lucas will also go,” Neveah stated in which Lucas gave her a hiss.  “Oh, Yes, I will not—” Neveah pinched his thigh cutting him off, “I will go, accompanying you.” Larcade sighed for the nth time. ‘Now Lucas wants to go.’  “Just let them be,” Damian said, causing Larcade to glare at him.  “I mean the both of them are worried for you, they just want to make sure you’re safe, they’re a bit stupid but the only thing for them to have second thoughts is to let them experience the danger,” Damian uttered.  ‘That’s an even stupider idea than theirs.’ Larcade thought but he didn’t say it, tired of the three of them. “Okay fine, but if it all goes down, I want the two of you to go home,” Larcade said to Neveah and Lucas.  Though Larcade doesn’t know why Lucas wants to join he is a tiny bit grateful. ‘That’s stupid.’ Neveah and Lucas thought of what Larcade said. All four of them realized that this topic has led their stupidity out. “Let’s just worry about that later, first we have to sleep,” Neveah said in which they agree, but the three guys stopped when they notice something, they stared at Neveah who was busily cleaning all of the chips and set aside the game board, feeling a little disappointed that they didn’t have time to play. When Neveah noticed their stares, she returned them with a confused expression.  ‘Will she sleep in here too?’ The trio thought. Neveah who read their expression sighed.  “I’m sleeping into the guestroom, all the three of you can sleep in Larcade’s room.” She said opening the door, she was about to go out, when she gave one last glance to the three, and then smirked which made them slightly flinched. ‘I think I know that smirk.’ Lucas and Larcade thought. ‘I don’t know what’s the meaning of that smirk but I suddenly felt terrified.’ Damian thought, gulping trying to find any reasons. She then left the room. All three of them were now laying on the separate mattresses, both Damian and Lucas were on the floor, while Larcade was on his bed. All of them fell silent, turning and tossing around the mattresses. ‘Why am I doing here when my house is just next door?’ Lucas thought.  “Lucas.”  Lucas slightly jumped when Larcade called him. “You don’t have to come. I know Neveah’s intention on coming but you don’t have anything to do me so it’s okay if you won’t come.” Larcade started.  “You don’t have to force yourself; I know Neveah threatened you, I apologize on her behalf.” Lucas clashed his brows; He admit to himself that he was entirely forced by Neveah but hearing it from Larcade made him weirdly feel something.  “I have this feeling that your relationship with each other isn’t that close.” Damian suddenly uttered. ‘This demon boy can’t get his mouth shut.’ Lucas and Larcade thought.  “I noticed that Girl and you, earrings, are close but successor here and you, aren’t. When I first saw you, I thought you were friends, did something happen?” Damian said, he casually put both of his hands underneath his head. ‘Did he refer to me as earrings?’ Lucas touches his ear studs. Feeling offended that the Demon boy didn’t even know his name for 1 day of being together.  “When I first saw you, I thought you’re not the type of person who meddles someone else’s business,” Larcade said with a blank expression which Damian looked at him with a sour look. Lucas stifle a laugh because of Larcade’s sassiness but quickly stops when he heard a shuffle of cloth behind him. “To be honest, yes I was forced by Neveah, but hearing you say that it makes me feel different.” Lucas started after the silence. “I want to come with you, it’s not Neveah’s decision now, but mine.” Lucas stand up looking at Larcade who was also looking at him.  “Damn, this story took a weird narrative shift.” Damian suddenly interrupted breaking the atmosphere.  The both of them look at him with a blank expression. ‘I swear to God I’m trying my best to not choke this guy.’ Larcade thought. In some dark alley in the city, a white luminous light flashed, and a growl was heard in the dark alley. A cat’s scream was heard and the dogs barking came after. The animals felt a sudden immense aura that caused them to be terrified.  “The cat seems to have escaped its cage.” A long-haired man said when he heard the commotion caused by the animals and smirked. ‘This will be fun.’  Morning came, the birds greet the day with a beautiful song. Early risers in the neighborhood start their day by watering their plants and some are having their morning exercise. The day was peaceful but they have this sense of worry inside them since they found out what’s happening in their city. In a certain house in the neighborhood, Dewin Family’s household. Three misfits are still lying in their mattresses, with no plan to wake up. Lucas shuffled to his mattress trying to find a comfortable position. Larcade who’s in his bed is snoring, while Damian peacefully sleeps next to Lucas. Neveah who was up early and finish washing, went downstairs to find Larcade’s 13 your old brother, Calypso Dewin. He was eating his cereal while mobile games on his phone.  “Where’s Larcade?” Neveah said looking for something to eat. Calypso looks at her, shock evident on his face. “You were here?” Calypso asked. Neveah rolled her eyes at the stupid question Calypso spouted.  Neveah just ignored Calypso when she didn’t find something to her liking she went back upstairs to Larcade’s room, she knocked and called out his name but there were no answers. She turns the doorknob and saw the three still in a deep sleep. She gave out a blank expression. She went inside the room, approaching Larcade, she shook him off trying to wake him up. But to no avail, Larcade was still in his dreamland. She panned his head to Lucas and lightly kicked him, but just like Larcade, Lucas was also in his dreamland. She glances at Damian and he too was in a deep sleep.  ‘Like Babies.’ Neveah thought, sighing she went to the room’s window. She stares at them for one last time, and swiftly opens up the curtain, Sunlight hits the trio’s faces and they groaned annoyed. “Wake up,” Neveah said.  But the three of them pay no mind to her and continue back to sleep. “I said wake up!” She raised her voice but it still did not affect the sleeping trio. Annoyed she steal a pillow on Larcade’s bed and hit the three. The three of them jolted, waking up because of the sudden impact, Damian who was also surprised activated his magic powers and directed it to Neveah who quickly raised her arms just like a criminal.  “Oh, sorry.” He apologized, in which Neveah gave out a sigh of relief. ‘I thought I was going to die.’ “What time is it?” Lucas said trying to go back to his dreamland but Neveah pull his ear which made him shout in pain. “Rise and shine, sleepy trio, we have a journey to prepare too.”  Lucas rubbed his aching ear. When Neveah left, they sit there in a daze, yawning in the process, but they heard Neveah shout from downstairs so they don’t have a choice to get ready for the day.  The trio went downstairs after dressing and washing up, Damian with his new set of clothes that was borrowed from Larcade, hid his horns and tails. Lucas also had a new set of clothes from his brother Claude, who visited, the Dewin’s home to just give him his clothes. The two were invited to have breakfast together, it was awkward but Damian felt the familial love of the Dewin family which he hadn’t felt for 20 years. After breakfast, Neveah dragged the three of them outside the house. All of them were annoyed to this point. “Where are you taking us?” Lucas said covering his eyes from the sunlight, Larcade and Damian also followed him.  “If we're going on an unknown journey we need to be prepared.” She said excitingly. She clutches her bag and dragged the trio again to Lucas’ house. Lucas who was afraid of what she was planning halted. Neveah senses his agitation rolls her eyes.  “You’re driving us to the mall dimwit, you’re the only one who has a car.”  Lucas's face went from anxious to relief in a matter of seconds when he heard that. The four of them drove to the mall, the car ride was silent so Neveah decided to turn on the radio.   All three of them had their attention on the news on the radio. There was a crime scene in the dark alleyway near the mall they were supposed to go to, it says that there was not anything like a human corpse but the alley was filled with dead birds scattered all over the place. Neveah who heard that cringe in disgust.  The four of them were suspicious.  “Damian, is this something a fallen would do?” Larcade said, scared that it might be true. Damian looks at him before shaking his head. “No,”  The three of them felt a sense of relief. Since Damian knew that fallens are prideful people who would never touch someone who is not worth their time. They would rather die than waste their time on humans.  “Unless,” The anxiousness crept back up again when Damian continued. There is only one thing Damian can think of, though he wished that it wasn’t true but everything that was said in the news is most likely that ‘something’ would do. He gulped before continuing. “If it’s a creature.” At the same time, two men are on a building’s rooftop looking over at the city and then looking below to the crime scene. One of them crouched down smirking, at what he sees. People have been surrounding the crime scene, while guards are trying to shoo them away. The scene was not so controversial since it has no human body however seeing corpses of birds scattered in that area is not something you would see every day.  Some people’s speculation claims that the one who did that is some crazy psychotic man or some wild beast that is roaming in their city as they speak.  The pale-gray-haired man who was currently crouching down, cackles maniacally, “It is a wild beast, alright.”  His voice was a bit breathy that if people would hear them it would give them shivers. “Yes, and that current wild beast is nowhere to be found, I expect something more of you, Hyen.” His companion said giving him a serious look. Hyen gulped sensing his power. ‘s**t’ He rubbed his hair, acting like he wasn’t scared.  “Shan, you don’t need to worry about complicated things like that.” Hyen joked around wanting to create a relaxing mood but the man called Shan was not amused, he stared at Hyen with a piercing look that made Hyen kneel, scared shitless. “Captured that wild cat or else.” Shan turns around and left, leaving behind a pissed of Hyen. ‘If only he wasn’t in the 12’ He thought. The man who just left was the man that currently holds the title of the 5th apostle, Shan Witchell. Aman who is dangerous enough, a man who Hyen despises much more than the other apostles. A wicked and horrible man.
