When I was five I fell in love though it did not last as I recall I ended up swimming in a puddle chasing after him. When I was 10 I fell in love again with a girl ten times older than me. Because of my hopeless romantic love life, I have never experienced what it feels like to seduce someone but now I’m here sitting in front of one of the upper number of apostles, Scarlet Yale. “Nial? For a woman’s name?” She said with a chuckled and I slightly mentally panicked. “Yeah, My Mom got it for me and I treasured it,” I said while drinking the Mojito Mocktail. It was up to my taste and Scarlet was right you can really taste the lime on it. “I bet your Mom dote on you,” She said also sipping in her drink. I scoffed at her statement. “My Mom’s dead,” I said with a laidback expression. She stopped and look at me for a second before clearing her throat. ‘Did I make it awkward?’ I thought. I felt vibration on my phone but I ignored feeling Scarlet’s eyes watching my every move.
Suddenly our attention focused on the crowd dancing some EDM music on the dancefloor. Some are hyping up visibly drunk. ‘Why is this turning into a club?’ I thought looking at them with a confused face. I heard Scarlet chuckle at my reaction. She suddenly stood up and grabbed my hands. My brain engines stopped when she held me up and drag me to the dance floor. She then started swaying her hips as she place my hands on her waist. ‘Mayday!Mayday! What the fck is happening?’ I thought as she also placed my other hand. She then rest her arms on my neck and I unconsciously leaned away when I realized how close we are. ‘Okay, this is not good,’ The background music would be categorized in the music industry as a sexy genre. I don’t know what the heck is a piece of sexy genre music. We began dancing as she look into my eyes filled with unexplainable emotions that mixed with amusement and a little bit of mischief.
Suddenly I saw a familiar face not so far away. A brown long hair in a pony styled and square-shaped specs, I eventually know that he was Larcade. His eyes were full of surprise. I assume that he read my text. I sent them a message that I met Scarlet. He stood there not knowing what to do. “Nial?” Scarlet called out to me and I looked down at her. ‘Damn she is indeed beautiful,’ I blush at the close proximity. “Don’t let your mind wander elsewhere, focus on me,” She said in a hoarse voice slipping her hands to my head and then pulling me closer to her. Our faces are an inch away as we look into one another. I saw Larcade in the corner of my eyes. His facial expression was shocked and also a little bit of disgust as his eyes widen and his jaws dropped.
I immediately ignore him as I let my arms wrap around Scarlet’s waist and pulled her closer, our bodies touching. I sneaking gesture something on her back. I gestured something to Larcade to go back to his duty. He shook his head that he did not get it but I keep doing it. Suddenly I notice someone approaching him and that was Damian. He looks at me with a glare and then nods. ‘Distract her and we’ll find the elemntia,’ I flinched when a familiar voice spoke in my head. Scarlet noticed this and look at me confused. I smiled at her as best as I could to not make her suspicious. I then grabbed her hands and twirl her. ‘How the heck did that demon boi do that?’ I thought as I embrace her again. I tried not to let go of my rationality as our lips almost touched. ‘Dear God, please don’t let the evil be stronger!’ I prayed silently as we danced the night away.
Third person’s P.O.V
Damian dragged Larcade away from the bar and into the gaming hall where sort of class people and even middle-class ones plays hard as they tried to test their luck. “Was that Neveah flirting with Scarlet?” Larcade asked still has not processed what he saw. “It would be for the best, Scarlet would be a great hindrance to us when we look for the elementia,” He said dragging Larcade. “Keep your eyes open, we need to find that thing,” Damian said and was about to walk away when Larcade grabbed his hands. “Before that, what is the elementia looked like?” Larcade said while looking troubled. Damian stopped at what he asked. ‘That’s right all of them don’t know what it looks like and here I am ordering them to find it,’ Damian sighed. “Now that you brought it up, Elemntia can be turned into shape depending on the holder. I’m sure that Scarlet changed it,” He said this made Larcade furrow his brows, “Then why didn’t you say this in the first place?!” He spouted at Damian. The said guy was so mad and frustrated that his eye glowed green, Damian leaned away.
Suddenly faint familiar energy struck into Damian. “Damian, you idio---” Larcade was cut off when Damian covered Larcade’s mouth. “Wait, shut your trap for a minute,” Larcade did what he told but he was still annoyed at the demon. “ Elementia can shapeshift whenever the holder wants but it can not change its energy as it was filled with a creature’s aura,” He said as he looked around trying to find where the energy came from but he was having a hard time when it filled the entire hall. “Then?” Larcade said but his voice was muffled as Damian was still covering his mouth, “I can feel it right now,” He said. This made Larcade widen his eyes and forcefully removed Damian’s hands. “Really? Then where?” He said as his anger slowly subside together with his glowing green eyes.
Damian then reacted when the energy vanished as if it wasn’t there. Larcade noticed this, “Why? What’s wrong?” He said his voice filled with worry hoping that nothing bad was happening. “It vanished.” Two words that left his mouth left Larcade bewildered. “What do you mean vanished?! I thought you said it has strong energy!” He said, annoyed. “Yeah, I know but I don’t know why it disappears. “You're supposed to be a supernatural being! You’re a demon for goodness sake and you act like you knew everything and now what!” Larcade complained made Damian roll his eyes, ‘I swear to God every moment with him would always lead to disagreement,’ Larcade thought as he shake his head.
“Excuse me?” A voice appeared behind them and they panned their heads in the direction of the voice. Both of them freeze in the spot when a familiar face that was the same as Larcade’s stood in front of them. “Is something wrong?” He said with a smile but his eye hold that boring look. “I saw you two fighting, could you tell me so we could resolve it? I’m afraid that you're making the other guests uncomfortable.” He said in a gentle voice but his expression did not wear a gentle expression at all. Larcade noticed the name pin on his right chest and read it, Loki. ‘Okay, we’re doomed,’
