1448 Words
“Getting rid of the magic Isis gave you need too much power,” Arash said while he hurriedly walked down the halls of his home. Larcade, Damian, Neveah, and Lucas followed him. His steps were fast and the four misfits were having trouble following him. “I have a rough idea how,” Suddenly Arash stopped at the front door. Because of his sudden halt, Damian who was in front of him stop his tracks, Larcade bump to his back and Neveah to his, and Lucas to Neveah. Because of the train of impact, Damian was pushed close to Arash. Don’t want to hit Arash, He raised his arms between Arash and lean both of his hands at the locked massive door behind the creature. Arash turned to Damian in surprise. Larcade, Neveah, and Lucas stare at the kabedon scene behind Damian. “Oh! Damian, I don’t have any qualifications to pass as your lover, nevertheless, I'll gladly accept to be one~” Arash teased him as he put his hands on his cheeks acting shy. Damian can hear the stifled laughs behind him and it hit his nerve. “Don’t worry, Arash, I absolutely have no intention and will never be of making you as my lover,” Damian said as he glared at the creature in front of him. An ominous aura was felt at the back that made the three behind him shut their mouth. It was intimidating that Arash even looked away. "Nah, I'm just joking! Why so uptight?" Arash said as he hit Damian's chest resulting in him removing his hands on the door. After the awkward scene, all of them enter the room. A giant bowl with a fancy design was placed in the center. Pure white water was inside in that bowl that has a chape of a chalice which can also be mistaken as a mirror if not touching it. All three of them except Damian and Arash shared an ‘oh’ of amusement as they surround the bowl. Arash and Damian also followed them. “So, what are we doing here?” Neveah lean his head into the water but a hand grabbed her hair and pull her backward. Neveah wince at the pain and realized that it was Damian’s hand. He apologized quickly. “Though it may not have its full ability yet. But, it can help us track the Elementia,” Arash said while hovering his hands on the bowl. Nevah, Lucas, Larcade, and Damian watch them. “Excuse me,” Lucas raised his hands gaining the attention of everyone, “What is this?” He then pointed at the bowl. “This my son is a magical weapon that is linked to the elementia. Because of the absence of it, this white chalice can’t exactly give its full potential but it can help us pinpoint it,” Arash said. “The problem is,” All of them stared at Arash waiting for him to finish his sentence. “It may take a while,” Arash look at them with an apologetic look. All of them were dismayed especially, Damian. He has been thinking of himself on how he was able to waste 4 days. “Then how ‘bout we should prepare?” Neveah said at his comrades. "Our next journey is ahead, finding the elementia would help creatures and my cousin to do their objectives. I don’t want to wait here and waste time doing nothing,” Neveah stated. She then walks towards Damian. “So teach us how to fight,” Neveah said with a grin somehow feeling excited about the idea. “What?” Her grin quickly fades away at the expression of the tall demon in front of her. “You already know how to fight,” He said crossing his arms. “Dude, we can’t possibly defeat a whole other level of an opponent!” Neveah said as she emphasize her statement by widening his arms and leaning more to Damian in which the demon backed away. “That’s right,” Lucas stepped in that made them stop. Damian and Neveah look at Lucas. He was wearing the same grin as Neveah. Raising his arms and creating a fire on his fist he pointed out in front of the two, “ I want to be able to get used and control my power,” Damian looks at them with determination. Neveah closed both of her fists to contain her excitement. Sparkling eyes, looking at her friend. “Then that would be great!” A familiar voice was heard in the direction of the door. Kion was there on his back legs standing like a human while he cross his arms as he leaned into the door frame. All of the people stared at the sudden appearance of the criosphinx. However, he was not alone. A tall creature standing beside Kion. He had a tall and big physique. He was wearing metal armor and his whip was hanging on his waist while his long sword was on the other side. What bizarre them the most is that the creature has his head not connected with his neck, rather he was holding it in his right hand with pride. Lucas, Larcade, and Neveah froze in their places with wide eyes. As they stare more at the creature beside Kion their cold sweat dripped on their faces as they noticed the head staring at them. “Hello, kids!” The creature’s head on his own head exclaimed greeting the three. Because of this Neveah’s eyes rolled back beginning to pass out. Luckily for her, Lucas was behind her and caught Neveah immediately. The headless creature’s expression was filled with distress as he tried to take in Neveah’s reaction, “Did I say something wrong?” He asked while looking at Kion then to Arash then lastly to Damian. The demon in front of the headless creature sighed and facepalmed. After the chaotic scene, Arash orders them to let Neveah lie down on a comfortable bed for a while. Lucas nod and carry the unconscious girl in his arms. Damian stole a glance at Arash still hovering his hands on the white chalice before heading out with Kion and the headless creature. Lucas with Neveah in his arms followed but before he could continue he stop and glance behind Larcade who seems to have not moved an inch. “Are you coming?” Lucas asked. Larcade took a second before answering him, “I’ll stay here for a while,” Larcade said. Arash glances at the troubled teen. Lucas was hesitant but nodded and made his way out. “Is there something troubling you successor?” Arash asked gently not wanting to give an awkward position to the shy 20 years old. He slightly laughed at the mention of the word ‘successor’ “I’m still not used to that title, just please call me Larcade,” He said with a smile at Arash. He sighed before continuing, “I’m still contemplating on my current decision. I’m still not ready to face such dangers and responsibility for having this much of great power and the holder of the title as the next Great Sorcerer,” Larcade ramble. He then stared at the Chalice below Arash’s hands. “ But I want to rely on your promise and your efforts,” Larcade lock eyes with Arash. “ I may sound selfish but for a once normal guy like me I can't act as a main character that can easily accept a random power that popped out of nowhere, “ Larcade then lowered his head feeling embarrassed but still wanting to continue. “ I would like to apologize in advance,” He said with a bow. Arash flinched at the sudden behavior. “ But I’m still definitely holding on to the idea of taking the former great sorceress power in me.” Larcade stands erect after his bow. His eyes were full of something that Arash can’t explain. No matter how bewildered he is at the true feelings of the teen in front of him he could not dare to judge his decision. Especially that he’s now willing to help them. Arash sighed not knowing what to reply. After a while, Neveah regained his consciousness and was on the training grounds. She was currently under the shade of some tree on the grounds. Damian beside her was standing while leaning on the trunk. Lucas was also sitting on the other side of Neveah. The three of them watch as the headless creature shouts at the creatures who were training in the scorching heat of the afternoon sun. “So he’s like what? The general?” Neveah said. Somehow she was feeling kinda lazy because of the hotness in the air. “Probably,” Lucas answered while wiping his sweat that trickled down to his forehead. Heatwaves made them lose their determination to train. Like normal human beings, they were too lazy to do anything especially under the hotness of the sunlight. Suddenly, they notice someone approaching them. It was Larcade with a tray of cool coconut drinks. He waved his hands at his companions. He gets them from the small creature that leads them to meet Arash, Holda. “My god! Thank you, Lar I needed this!” Neveah exclaimed as he took a sip at the drink Larcade offered. Larcade smiled and give the last drink to Damian. The demon gladly accepted it and take in the full taste of the coconut drink. ‘Delicious..’ He thought while staring at the drink in his hands, admiring it. “Finally all of you are here!” A voice behind Larcade was heard. Nevah and Lucas choked on their drinks when they realize who it was. Larcade tilt his head confused and glance behind him to see who it was. The moment he took in the appearance of the creature behind him, he flinched and jump backward. He was still not used to the headless creature. The head on his hands clearly didn’t make it all too well. “yE-yES!” Neveah said standing up, “We’re here. Can I ask you what exactly do you want from us?” Because of Neveah’s fear, his words become too formal. The headless creature laughed at her stutter. “Did you forget silly?” They stared a the laughing head. Still disturb. “You wanted to train and enhance the control of your fighting abilities and your new accumulated power,” The head grinned looking at the trio, “I’m here to help you out!” “ My Names Timoteo! Nice to meet ya!” Neveah, Lucas, and Larcade watch as the creature offered its own hand. They stared at it with distorted expressions. Their disgusted expression made Timoteo laugh. ‘How the f**k he can talk?’ All three of them thought.
