Neveah, Larcade, and Damian dozed off in the car while Lucas was driving. It was almost lunchtime when they arrived at the entrance of the city. Medea was a big place, surrounded by lots of buildings and tourist spots. The city was famous for its night view and streets. Many casinos were located in Medea but there is one certain casino that is more famous than the other one. And, that is, “Casino Royale,” Lucas blurted out on his phone. He was trying to confirm the road that he took to get to the said casino. His google map flashed on his phone screen. While looking at the map he noticed that it was time for lunch. He found a nearby restaurant not so far and drove straight to it. Stopping his car he glance at his companions who were in deep sleep. Suddenly Larcade squirms in his seat. He woke up feeling that their car had stopped. Blinking at the bright light he rubbed his eyes and the first thing he saw was Lucas waiting for him to adjust his eyes.  “Why did we stop?” He asks with a yawn. He stretches his body with a groan. Regaining her composure he finally realized where they are. “Are we in Medea?” He said looking outside the tinted windows of Lucas’s car. Lucas chuckled and unbuckled his seat belt. “Yeah,” “It’s big.” He said in amazement as he saw many tourists walking around the city streets. Larcade was not used to the new ambiance the city gave off. Helio was much smaller and had fewer people in the streets than Medea. You can really call it a city for how it looks. They heard a slight groan coming from the man beside Larcade. They panned their heads at the newly awake demon. Damian yawned and also stretched his arms as Larcade did a while ago. “Are we in Medea?” His voice made the two widen their eyes. His voice was hoarse and deep that both of them think it was sexy. Damian noticed their stares and look at them weirdly, “What?” While raising one of his brows. Larcade pursed his lips and quickly removed his eyes from him. “Dude your voice is sexy,” Lucas blurted out which made Larcade flinch at the statement.  Damian was also surprised. “Woah that’s some gay sht right there,” Neveah’s voice was heard and they all panned to her direction. ‘Since when did she wake up?’ All of them stared at her and Neveah was the one looking at them weirdly. “What? Come on now! It’s Lunchtime and I’m very hungry!” She said opening the car door.  They followed their eyes on her going to a nearby diner. The three of them regained their composure and also went out of the car. Lucas glances at the sleeping Maine coon. He doesn’t want to wake up but he also doesn’t want to leave it in the car with no air to breathe and with a hot temperature.  Lucas went to the back seat and gently caress the Maine coon’s fur. Ashmit wakes up, blinking his eyes adjusting his vision. He stood up with a yawn and stretch. Lucas chuckled at the cuteness. He opened the door wide to let the cat out. Ashmit caught sight of Neveah and quickly walked towards her. They enter the diner but because it was lunchtime the whole restaurant was bustling with people.  Neveah sniffs the air and exhales because of the aroma. “Let’s find a table first,” She said guiding her companions. Damian caught sight of one of the customer’s dishes and immediately gulped. ‘What kind of food is that?’ He thought while unconsciously walking slowly still staring a the dish. Larcade and Lucas, who was behind him, were confused about why he was walking slowly. Both of their heads panned slowly at what he was staring and was shocked to see the faces of the customers. Their faces were full of disgust and were uncomfortable by the stares given by Damian. It also didn't help that the customer’s physique was much more buff and intimidating than their bodies. If they’ll stand up they become three pieces of anchovies beside them. Not that they can overpower Damian nor Lucas or even Neveah.  But still, Larcade panic and quickly covered Damian’s eyes with both of his hands. The least he wants is to have all customers know that they have a companion who is a supernatural being. Knowing Damian’s attitude they tried to avoid a feud with other strangers. Larcade and Lucas quickly apologized for the behavior of their companion and luckily the customer did not make a scene and accepts their apology. “Damian, staring at someone intently without saying a word is kinda rude and uncomfortable,” Larcade said beside him, removing his hands from the demon boi’s eyes. “You seem to get me wrong I wasn’t staring at them, I was staring at the delectable thing that was on their table,” He said glancing behind both his companions to stare at the food again but Larcade quickly grabbed both of his shoulders turning him around. “That is still rude,” They finally got to the table Neveah found. The girl was sitting on the chair looking at the three guys with bewilderment. “What took you so long?” She grumbled while placing her chin on his hand. All of them settle on the table. They decided to let Lucas and Neveah be the ones to order because; first, Larcade can’t order if he does all he can do is stutter and can’t be able to express what he wants to order, and secondly, Damian doesn’t know-how. He’s a demon for goodness sake that was locked in prison for 20 years. Yeah, how sad, anyways, Larcaed picked up the Maine coon and settle him on the space beside him. Lucas and Neveah walk towards the end of the line to order their food. Larcade and Damian were left together at the table with Ashmit. Damian sat there and observe the place. The restaurant was full of people laughing with joy, talking with interest to one another, and gobbling their food with gusto. Damian was amused at the simple behavior and actions humans did.  Then he panned his focus to Larcade. The said guy was currently immersed on his phone with a troubled look. Damian was curious as to why he had that expression but choose not to interfere. Because, he had this scenario in his head that, if he did interfere the conversation would lead them to argue.  Removing his eyes on Larcade he panned his head to his other companions which were bickering while waiting in line. Damian rolled his eyes at their behavior but still kept his focus on the two. He admires the closeness of the two friends and wonders how did they meet and how did they grow a friendship. Damian felt a slight pang of pain in his heart when he realize that he lived his life confine to the life of the great sorceress’s student. Wasting his chance to go meet and socialize other creatures. For a young age he knows that the world is not full of sunshine and rainbows, his innocence was taken away as if has vanished like thin air.  “They look close.” He unconsciously blurted out that made Larcade focus his attention on the demon beside him. He was confused for a moment until he look at what Damian was looking for. When he realized he can’t help but chuckle. “I know. They seem like chaotic siblings,” Larcade commented. Damian was slightly surprised that the successor replied to him but he didn’t make a big deal out of it afraid to ruin the atmosphere. “How did they meet?” Damian can’t help but ask. Larcade can’t process his questions. He was astonished that the ‘selfish bastard’ according to Neveah was curious about the friendship she had with Lucas. And, Larcade was willing to share their story. “Well, all of us are schoolmates since we were in middle school,” Larcade started. “But, they grew closer together when we were in Highschool.” He said, “It was a funny story on how they met.” Larcade said in between giggles. This amused and made Damian curious even more. “Imagine, a gorilla and a kangaroo fighting,” He said which made Damian furrow his eyebrows. “That’s how they met,” Larcade said as both of them focuses on the two who were oblivious about their conversation.
