Two figures sitting in a luxurious room. The windows make the whole entire casino visible. Tons of people were crowding below with wine in their hands and playing some games with cards. A woman with an elegant stature sipped her wine as she looked at the man in front of him. The said man was looking down at the window, focusing his eyes on a certain someone. His silver hair seems to glow in the dimly lighted room. His vibrant purple eye held something that the woman staring at him can’t explain.
Scarlet Yale look down to where he was staring but all she saw were all kinds of people on the entire casino floor. The woman cleared her throat to gain the man’s attention but to no avail, he was preoccupied. “Neo,” She called out and the owner of that name didn’t even flinch. Scarlet pursed her lips.
“So what do you think about Royale?” Scarlet picked up the tense atmosphere. The man finally responded to her question as he look back at her. “I’ve been doing drastic changes last time. And, the fact that I have ‘that’ thing, Royale have been successful.” Scarlet showed her best smile but the man just give her a deadpan expression. “It’s the same.” He said with a monotone voice. “Is it not to your liking?” Scarlet’s expression turned worried. The man did not reply for a second. Neo stands up and heads to the door, “I need to play first before answering your question,” Neo said with a smirk before heading out. Scarlet stood in the room before following the tall man.
Neo skipped through the entrance. He entered the hall with a smile as he scanned the entire casino. An indoor amusement park was on the east side of the casino. Everything was there. But Neo wasn’t interested in that thing but toward a certain someone. Blond locks and was wearing a waiter’s clothes with a tray full of wine glasses on his hand were spotted. He skipped towards him, blocking the guy.
The said guy with blonde locks halted his step and looked at Neo with confusion, “Excuse me, sir? Do you need something?” Neo smiled at him. He took one of the glasses filled with white wine on his tray. Loki’s eyes followed him every moment. He was cautious when he realized who the guy was in front of him. ‘This is the man Scarlet greeted. I recall his name is Neo' Loki’s eyes accidentally focus on Neo’s purple one. His eyes were boring into Loki which made him feel shivers on his spine. Loki decided to ignore him and walked past him but Neo hold his arms. Loki panicked at this sensing something wrong. Loki was about to hit him but he was surprised when Neo wrapped his arms onto his waist holding him close.
At that moment Loki realized his position. Goosebumps were felt all over his body. His eyes widen as he stares at Neo’s purple one. Neo’s wide grin made him extremely comfortable especially the hands that were on his waist. “What the f**k?” Loki unconsciously blurted out. This made Neo chuckle. Loki then squirm his way out of Neo. The said guy just simply let go of him thinking that he might be bold. Loki then made his way out, getting far away from Neo. But his eyes were still staring at Loki. An uneasy feeling was felt through Loki as he took a break in the personnel lounge. He recalled those purple eyes that stared at him with desire. Like a hunter finding his prey. Loki’s eyebrows clashed at that thought.
All of them gathered in one place. Neveah, Damian, Lucas, Larcade, Arash, Teo, Kion, and even the white pegasus, Eden, on the place where the sword stone was located. The three, Lucas, Larcade, and Neveah stared at the shining sword with suspicion in their eyes, "So this is a white knight’s remnants?” Neveah asked looking closely at the sword. “So care to tell us what’s a white knight?” She ended her statement with a question while looking at Arash.
“White knights are powerful beings. Their main power is their strength. They are good at handling weapons just like swords, bows, and arrows, or even a spear. They are known for their justice and their righteousness,” Arash started. “ In essence they are Angels,” Teo continued Arash’s statement.
“What?!” Lucas, Larcadae, and Neveah said in unison. Their eyes widen as they were in disbelief at what they heard. “Angels?-You mean the winged beautiful creatures-What? hOW? They’re real?!” Neveah said in between stutters. Angels are indeed surreal to the three. They only heard about this in stories or the bible. The fact that they are real and once cohabitants with humans were a piece of information enough to make them pass out. “So you’ve been saying all these years, Angels have come to live the same planet as us? Not in heaven?” Neveah asked questions after another.
She leaned into Damian in which the said guy backs away, “They’re already extinct! Are you deaf or have you not cleaned your ears?!” Damian exclaimed. He hands an annoyed expression while stopping Neveah’s head keeping her from getting closer as if she was a virus. “Extinct? How?” Lucas asks with a hand on his chin. “Many centuries ago. Just like Demons, they are mysterious and not like to show up on other creatures nor even sorcerers.” Arash answered. “But the reasons are very much different. Demons hide because sorcerers kill them. Angels hide because they don’t want to interact with any beings.” Damian adds Arash’s statement.
“And, eventually they become extinct?” Larcade seemed to be confused at the sudden disappearance of the Angels that he couldn't help but ask, “If they did, how did you know? You said it yourself they’re mysterious and they don’t like to show up with other creatures?” Larcade said. “We met one.” The one who answered was Kion. All eyes were on him.
“The owner of that sword. “ He said with a serious voice as he used his paw to point the said object. Neveah, Lucas, and Larcade then stared at it. “He met us at the last moment of his life. He asks us a favor. To guard his remnants and wait for the suitable first user to appear. Eden was his companion.” Kion said walking towards the sword.
“The fact that Eden herself took you to this place, Neveah,” Kion then look at Neveah. The said girl slowly widening his eyes at every word he says, “You’re suitable to become---
“Woahhhhhh!!!!’” Neveah exclaimed and all of them present there flinched. Eden neighs at the sudden loud noise Neveah made. “Oh I apologize, what were you saying?” Neveah said with a smile on his face. Larcade and Lucas stare at her with squinted eyes. ‘She’s excited,’ Both of them thought. They knew Neveah was in it for superheroes things like this. Her frustration at not being able to help was noticed by both of them. Now, that she was given a chance Neveah would not let the opportunity slip. “ You,” Kion started but realized the sparkling eyes Neveah has. “Could,” Neveah leans her head to Kion’s direction, “Be” Kion looks away at the girl but was still uncomfortable by her stares, “The” Neveah closed her fist as she waits for Kion to finish his sentence, “Suitable--” Kion backed away but Neveah was still closing him in.
“Don’t scare him,” Suddenly someone pulled her collar to get him away from the terrifying criosphinx. Damian wears a nonchalant expression holding Neveah’s collar. “Calm yourself and have some carrot,” Damian then shoved her a piece of carrot that made Neveah unable to retort. “First thing, Kion, Arash, and Teo how would we know if this girl really is suitable?” Damian then swayed Neveah and let her collar go.
“ Eden’s approaching her is not a suitable reason to let this girl,” Damian then pointed to Neveah who was munching the carrot that he give. “Took the last white knight’s remnants!” Damian strongly opposed the idea. All of them were shocked at what he said. They didn’t expect him to react like that. “Tell me, Damian, Are you really worried about the remnants or do you really don’t like me?” Neveah said his expression was painted with a big frown. She put her arms on Damian’s shoulder tiptoeing to match the tall demon’s height. “Both.”
Damian removed Neveah’s arms and look at Arash. “Eden is not something that can decide like this,” Arash said to the demon looking at his eyes to show his sincerity. “Maybe, Eden was just confused, maybe because it’s been 20 years she saw a human she then mistakenly think that she is the one?” Damian said giving out possible excuses to the creatures in front of him. “Wait- in short, you're thinking that my cousin is not capable of being responsible for taking care of the white knight’s remnants, is that it?” Larcade interrupted their discussion.
Damian sighed with annoyance as he look at Damian, “Oh shut up! you yourself said that you don’t want your family to get hurt and now that your cousin, your own family is becoming something that might put her in danger and now you’re opposing my idea?! Stop contradicting your words!” Damian snapped at Larcade. “What?!” Larcade face was contoured with surprise but suddenly replaced by anger. In a blink, Larcade was now holding out on Damian’s collar and it seems in a matter of seconds a fight will break out between them.
All of them panic and quickly separated Larcade and Damian. Kion with Damian and Teo with Larcade “stop it!” A stern voice caught their attention. All of them look at the owner of the voice and felt embarrassed by their actions. Arash’s face was obviously disappointed at the sight unfolding in front of him. “If you wish to fight please don’t do it in front of me. Mind your actions especially you, Damian,” Arash’s words cut deep into the said demon. He pursed his lips reflecting what he’s done. Neveah stood there awkwardly the whole time. She didn’t know what to do and never dared to interfere.
Suddenly she felt something touching her hand and she looked down and it was the white knight’s sword. She quickly retracts it, fearing that she might have scratched it and looking left and right to make sure no one sees it. She sighed in relief when no one did but quickly panic when a blinding white light formed into the sword. All eyes were now covered with their hands. Neveah who’s in front saw the sword levitate and transform into an accessory. The blind light slowly vanishes as the small object that was once a sword landed into Neveah’s palm. “A necklace?” She muttered under her breath.
All of them focus their attention on Neveah as the realization slowly hits them. Arash look at the stone that was once had a sword on it, now it was gone as if it wasn't there, to begin with. Arash approached the former location. He walked in front of Neveah and panned his eyes to look at the necklace that was in Neveah’s hands. “It seems she is really the suitable one,” Arash said with a smile looking down at the girl. Neveah couldn’t believe her eyes. Yes, she felt excited at first but now that it’s happening in front of her she felt surreal.
“Then how can I use it?” Neveah asks a question Arash. “It becomes a necklace?” She said feeling something uneasy. “ That sword may be in her possession now,” Damian suddenly blurted out. Neveah glares at him with a scowl on her face, ‘this asshole again? What does he want?’ She thought while hiding the necklace on her chest. “ But, we are not so sure if she really can use it,” Neveah look to him and then to Damian, “What does that bastard mean?” Neveah pointed out to Damian. The said bastard’s eyes twitch at the name. “It means that you need to know the White Knight’s name before using it. And, If you don’t call the right name then you would never!” Damian walked towards Neveah and leaning closely to her face, “Ever!” He spouted right at her, “ be able to use it.”
Because of his sentence, Neveah’s whole world came crashing down as his will to get stronger to help his cousin fade away like a bubble. She glared at Damian who was having a small smirk, ‘Imma kill this freak one day,’ Both of them glared at each other.
