Chaoter 74: Born from Fire

“I’m back,” She said in a sing-song voice but it was laced with a sinister feeling. And her eyes bore into Loki's purple one. “And I got a bone to pick with you Little-Damian-replica,” She said with a grin. Loki’s eyes widen. “Boo,” She whispered. Eve and Lyn did not waste time they used their power to make a force that can slice through Neveh but it vanished when a fire suddenly came appearing in front of her. “Not now, gecko twins,” Lucas groaned and stood up. What he said made the said twins snap. “What did you say?!” They growled but before they could attack Lucas he put the whole hall in fire that imprison them like a cage. The fire that he create was so strong that you cannot see anything from outside. 

But since Lucas made that fire, he made sure that it won’t affect their breathing and the entire casino. This is what gets him when he trains hard with Teo. He thanked the Dullahan for giving advice and teaching him how to control his powers. That is, he hasn’t learned that much since it was just two days of training. He needs all of his concentration his powers to not let it go wild. He heard all of them shout at Loki who was the only one who wasn't in the cage of fire. Lucas groaned but still did not lose his concentration. 

Loki and Neveah had a staring contest all this time. Loki noticed the grip. He then twisted his arm made Neveah lose her grip but because of her reflexes, she use the other hand to grab that arm again. Loki raised his brows, suddenly his purple eyes glowed and something appear on Neveah's stomach. It was a black hole and it was sucking Neveah. The said girl panicked and remove her grip on him. Loki leaned away and smirked to see the girl in front of him suffer. “What the hell is this?!!!!” She shouted but it only pained her. Lucas heard her peek and when she saw her giving a pain expression his concentration was slowly breaking, “Neveah!” Before he could lose his concentration Neveah stood up as if nothing was happening to her and give Loki a nonchalant expression while the black hole was still consuming her. “Nice try,” She said.

The black hole was slowly vanishing on her body. Loki’s jaw dropped and his brows were furrowed. “How did you---” He gritted his teeth. “ Demons do not like angels, you see,” She said with a smirk. But turns out, she was dying. All along, the black hole did pain her but Raguel was still there helping her out. Although he was there standing behind her no one can see him and they only spoke through Neveah’s mind. ‘That scared me a little!’ SHe exclaimed in her head. ‘Sorry but not to be that kind of a person but I can’t hold on to this much longer I’m not Raphael and I can’t heal this completely! I'm just doing my next to reduce its power but it’s not realy gone!’ She hears Raguel’s voice laced with panic. ‘Then you are useless!’ Neveah commented. ‘Oh come on! I’m breaking a few rules here just to help you! Why don't you just deal with him quickly so we can end these things!’ Raguel ramble on her head and Neveah can't help but groan and rolled her eyes.

Loki saw this and look at her weirdly. ‘Okay! I know! shut up!’ She replied and turned to look at Loki once more. Neveah then did a round kick that shocked Loki but he was quick enough to block it. Neveah gritted his teeth and used her other leg turning to the other side and kicking Loki’s head. Loki was thrown onto the ground. He hissed at the pin on his head. He then transforms himself into his demon from his eyes glowing purple. He then swing both of his hands made an incredible force that put out Lucas’s fire. “Enough with the games,” He growled and Neveah saw all of his goons standing up regaining their composure. ‘Oh okay, you're doom,’ He heard Raguel say. Neveah just rolled her eyes. She then noticed her ax laying on the ground and pick it up. Suddenly a fir came out in the opening of the center and it was Lucas who just teleported using his fire to get beside Neveah. “We’re also fired up now!” Lucas said beside Neveah who emitted a blaze on his fist. Neveah smirked at his statement.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Damian leaned into Larcade’s face that all of them, present in the room, jaw’s dropped. They did not expect what happened next as Damian put both of his hands on Larcade’s cheek and them slam his forehead onto his. It made a sound as their skull impacted one another. The hit made Larcade stumbled and his force slowly retracts as his eyes turn into normal but he was still stumbling and the pain on his forehead did not help, “What the? My head hurts?” He groaned while touching his forehead. Damian was relieved that he was woken up. “What happened?? He asked and notice the red mark on Damian’s forehead, “What happened to that?” He pointed but realize what had happened. “Did you just headbutted me?” Larcade asked feeling annoyed. “That’s beside the problem now, You almost had a forced awakening!” Damian informed him. This made Larcade furrow his eyes in confusion. “What? What do you mean?”

Suddenly an explosion was heard and a smoking thing came flying out of the room and passed by them only to hit the wall. All present in there were alerted as 2 more things flew out. “What the hell is happening?!” Scarlet shouted. Larcade and Damian panned their head when someone walked out of the door and it was Lucas who was literally blazing. He had this satisfied smirk on him. Larcade and Damian stared at him with raised brows. Larcade then approaches him. “Lucas!” The said guy focuses his attention on the guy running towards him. “Where’s Neveah?” Larcade asked when he stopped in front of him. “Neveah she’s in the back,” Lucas said as he pointed behind him. Suddenly they heard a prolonged scream that made Lucas drag Larcade onto the side and in that perfect timing, they saw Lucas enter the hall through the door they were just standing. “I told you to listen, you b***h!” Neveah shouted while swinging his ax to Loki but the said guy was able to stop it by blocking it. Neveah then used the ax to push him back. 

“Neveah!” Larcade called out to her and the girl turn to see her cousin. “Larcade!” She runs to him and embraces his cousin. “I’m glad you’re fine, but why do you smell as if you were barbecued?” Larcade said as he sniffed her cousin. “Oh you should ask fire boy here,” She said this made Lucas rub his nape not wanting to answer. “We’re getting irrelevant here,” Damian said while approaching them. “Oh, you're still alive?” Neveah said looking him up and down. Damian noticed it and give him a glare, “Yeah I like to see you annoyed,” He retorted this made Neveah hiss at him. “We are going into some weird discussion here,” Lucas commented and all of them regained their focus on the main problem. 

Loki was about to attack them again when Scarlet called out to him. He stopped and looked at Scarlet, “Enough,” She said in a cold voice that made him feel shivers on his spine. Scarlet then stared into Lucas. A familiar feeling was emitting out on Lucas that she can't help but scan him. “You young man!” She pointed to Lucas and the rest of them darted their eyes on the said man. Lucas was baffled on why he was getting attention. “And why do you care?” Instead of Lucas Damian answering her this made a Scarlet snap. “I’m not asking you demon,” She said in a voice that filled with disgust. “You are nothing but a filthy creature, that I’m very much disgusted to be in your presence,” She hissed at Damian and the guy growled at her. “This is one of the reasons your dear teacher Isis gets betrayed. Turning in a demon, she was being arrogant,” She said. Damian felt the rush of anger on him and dashed to Scarlet but with just a swing of her hand, Damian was thrown into the wall.

“Damian!” Larcade was about to run to help him but a sudden force stopped him as he felt he was in a tight rope that engulf his entire body. “Ahh!” He yelped as he felt himself levitate into the air. “Larcade!” Neveah growled and threw her ax but it was destroyed by Alya and a white barrier appeared in the ground and caged her. Neveah was surprised and bang the barrier but to no avail, it was very strong. She saw her cousin scream in pain as the force tightened into his body. “Wait! Stop!” Lucas shouted. Scarlet turns to him and eases the force on Larcade. “I am Lucas Eastwood!” He replied when he witness all of his companions down in just one swing. He heard a groan and find Damian standing up. Scarlet made a ‘hmm’ sound, “There’s something familiar within you,” She said while staring at Lucas. The said guy was beginning to feel weird because of her stares. “You had,” She stopped herself and flew straight in front of him. Lucas froze when she put her hands to caress Lucas’s cheeks. “Deniera,” She said in a sinister voice and Lucas felt shivers as she glared at the said guy.

Damian who heard everything furrowed his brows. “What do you mean?!” He shouted and approach them but Scarlet put her palms up and a force made Damian freeze in his spot. “You are her offspring,” The more Scarlet continues, the more Lucas was feeling overwhelm especially when she uttered the name that she didn't even hear for so many years. 

“ You are Deniera’s firstborn child! The child that was born from fire!”
