Friday morning was supposed to be the day where everyone can finally sigh in relief since tomorrow would be their awaited weekend. However, all students from one certain classroom were tense. The silence that was engulfing all over them was so hard that they were unable to break that atmosphere. “You believe me right?” A shaky voice asked one of his male classmates. Larcade stood there with an expression that made Axel tense up. “Larcade?” He called out his name. Axel looks so desperate. He seems as if he was in a deep rabbit hole with no way out. How bout we rewind some of the scenes, huh? I mean it’s the final chapter of their high school life after all.
Sun’s up and all three certain misfits wake up to start their day. Neveah dance around her room while walking to her bathroom. Lucas stretch before washing up. He made sure to stare at the mirror to appreciate his face. He gave off a smolder a habit that he didn’t let other people see. Since he believe that it was embarrassing to do so. However, in the room, next house Larcade wakes up with an uneasy feeling. He had this strange dream again after something happened in the attic. Larcade wiped his cold sweat on his forehead and grab the glass of water on his night desk. He quenched his thirst and was able to remove the dryness of his mouth.
Larcade neatly clean his bed when a text randomly came up. The same text was also sent on Lucas’s and Neveah’s phones. All three of them had different reactions when they saw it. Neveah immediately changed to her uniform and dashed outside. Her father called out to her to have breakfast but he quickly bid goodbye to him and ran outside, grabbing her coat. When getting out he saw Lucas who had the same expression as her. Both of their faces were contoured with shock and panic. “Lucas?!” Neveah said in a loud voice and halted. Lucas did the same too. “What are you--” Neveah was about to ask her something when Lucas cut her off. “No time to lose. I know whose behind this.” Lucas said and run away quickly. Neveah followed him while stealing a glance at Larcade’s house. After both of them vanished, Larcade open their front door with a nonchalant expression. “They won’t arrive there in time if they ran,” Larcade said to himself while looking in the direction Neveah and Lucas went.
Larcade took a cab. And, surprisingly was the one who arrived first. “Did they really run?” He asked himself while looking at the road. Neveah and Lucas’s steps were slow as they had a hard time breathing. Running to go to school was really a bad idea. But they couldn’t get give up as someone was on the line if they lose time. They ran and ran ignoring their tired legs. When they saw a glimpse of their school building a sigh of relief was felt on all of their bodies. The guard that was on standby and waiting for the closing of the gate stared at the two. They jog to enter the school with distorted faces. “Remind me not to run to school at full speed,” Neveah said in between pants. They force themselves to climb the stairs. They spotter their classroom. They took a deep breath and regain their composure and appearance before entering. What greeted them made them hold their steps.
Axel was currently facing Larcade who had a nonchalant expression. Neveah look at Axel. His face was contoured with an expression as if he was betrayed. He then scoffs before cackling. Neveah, Lucas, Larcade, and all present their felt shivers as they heard Axel’s cackle. It was not filled with amusement at all. It was laced with a sinister tone that something on Larcade was triggered and that was his guilt. Axel suddenly stopped and stared Larcade dead in the eyes. “So much for friendship,” Those were his last words before walking away. Lucas and Neveah saw his dead eyes as Axel passed by them.
“What happened?” Neveah then approached her cousin. Lucas was following behind her. Larcade took a second before replying. He smiled first, “It was nothing,” He said with a slight laugh. He then went to his desk and plug his earphones. Lucas and Neveah were somewhat confused about their action and the scene that greeted them. Lila, their classmate then approached Neveah. “Axel was desperate on telling his part of the story to your cousin but Larcade he…” Lila was hesitant to continue.
“He ran away and pretended that he was not involved with Axel…Am I right?” Nevah said. His voice was deep. Her tone of voice indicates that it was a serious matter. “Yes, sort of,” Lila said before walking away. “I don’t know why and I don't wanna know what’s on their mind, both of them. But, I do wanna know where could that guy who started all of this hiding?” Larcade growled. His brows furrowed. Neveah was staring out of space but quickly snapped when he heard Lucas’s voice. “Let’s f8cked him up,” Neveah said glaring forward while exiting the room. Mark was in their usual hang out on the back of the building. Smoking cigars with his goons. Suddenly their bread shuttle man runs to them frantically. Mark saw this and when the guy approached he kicked it in the gut and he was blown away.
“Geez, you really look annoying. What do you want?” He hissed at the guy who was coughing while clutching his stomach. “Lucas… He--” He said in between coughs, “He’s coming,” He said and lock eyes with Mark. His statement made him stop. “I see. The dog will never forget its owner.” He said while he put his cigar on the poor guy’s forehead. The said guy bites his lip for him not to scream because of the burn his cigar gave. “Ready Men,” And with just one swoop, all of his goons were now ready with their weapons. Bats and wooden thick sticks were in their hands. They finally saw Lucas with the same angry expression. However, the person in front of him made them widen their eyes in confusion. Neveah was marching toward them with Lucas behind her. Their hair swaying as the wind blows. It was like a scene in an action film. “Mark, you b***h!” Neveah shouted. Mark then laughs at her statement. When Lucas and Neveah stopped a safe distance on them, they glared at Mark.
“Woah, I don’t really expect for you, Lucas, to bring a princess here.” Mark laughed and all of his goons copied. Lucas did not budge at their attempt at conversation. “So, what brings you here?” Mark asked while he sits on a scratched and dirty revolving chair. “ What did you eat to be so annoying?” Neveah commented that made Mark choke on his saliva. “Did your parents not tell you don’t mess with people you don't even hardly know?” Neveah slowly approaches Mark. "That attitude would someday be your doom." His goons did nothing, assuming that Neveah was just trying to be brave because of Lucas’s presence.
“ Because, dear you really are an ignorant and arrogant child. I pity your parents or should I say I pity your family. I pity the world to have you all of your family born.” Everything Neveah said made Mark slowly frown. All of her insults struck him. “I bet God also regrets creating you.” And with this Mark snapped and grabbed Neveah’s hair. “Hey, bich. Just because I’ve been nice to you doesn’t mean that I won't hit a girl like you.” He warns her as her grip around her hair tightened. Neveah hold the arms that were gripping his hair. “You've been nice to me? I think your definition of nice is not the same as mine” And with that, Neveah suddenly twists his arms. A crack was heard together with Mark’s scream. “Just because I act like a carefree beach doesn’t mean I can’t fight you.” Mark was now panting because of the pain. He knelt down. His energy was draining with just one twist of his arm. Neveah was still holding onto his arm.
“You mess with the wrong hoes. Now time to pay for it.” Neveah whispered in his ear. His goons were finally alerted to what was happening and a random guy dashed to Neveah ready to smack her with a metal bat but was stooped by an arm. Lucas blocked his weapon from hitting Neveah. “Hi,” He said and then punch the guy straight into his nose. The guy screamed and fall onto his butt, touching his now bloodied face.
“Hey weirdo,” Neveah then called out to Mark who was about to faint because of the pain. “You act like a king your whole life. Now it’s about time to put you in your place.” And in that span of a second. Mark realized what he has been doing. Like his life flashed before his eyes when he saw Neveah’s face painted with a sinister smile.
“And it was the moment he knew he f****d up.” Larcade ended his story. Damian sat there with eyes wide open. “Damian?” Larcade called out to the said demon.
“I think it’s been so long since I appeared in this story.” He said out of the blue that making Larcade tilt his head in confusion.
“What are you talking about?” Suddenly a sound of a tray was heard as Neveah suddenly put their tray on their table. It was full of food that made Damian focus his attention. The smell surrounds them as they heard their stomachs growl. “What are you talking about to be so serious?” Neveah asked while sitting down. “Yeah, you were so serious. When I was about to go back to my seat but then saw you talking so seriously so I just endured standing in line with this buffoon." Lucas said while sitting down. “Nothing just a story about mischief in high school,” Larcade replied with a smile. Lucas and Neveah look at each other before shrugging and then eating their food. Larcade took his spoon but stopped when he think of a certain someone. ‘Looking back, I was really a jerk to him,’ He thought and look outside the glass window, ‘How is he doing now?’
