I stare at his eyes. He does look sincere, but I can't trust him the way Asher made me trust him. My heart would break more than it already is.
I quickly remove my hands from his like it burns.
"Huh.... I think I need some more rest." I said faking a groan as I try sliding back down into the sheet.
Jax clears his throat and got up. "Let me help you with that." He says as he helps me lay down back on the bed comfortably.
"Thanks." I smiled weakly at him before turning the other side away from him.
Jax said I mean a lot to him. I let out a sigh. Can I believe him? Why am I acting like he just confessed his love for me? I chuckle at myself. I must be crazy.
