The room was dark again. The only illumination came faintly from the hallway through the cracked door, casting soft shadows across the rows of seats. "So what did you guys want to talk about?" Danielle asked, unenthusiastically. Connor’s presence felt larger than life even without the lights. Danielle could hear the tension in his breathing. “You can’t just disappear like that,” he said again, voice low but unmistakably angry. “You’re with me or you’re with Seth. That’s the deal.
