The room was quiet, dim, and for one blessed moment, completely still. Danielle stirred in the middle of the mostly empty room, cocooned in blankets, her cheek smushed into the pillow. Somewhere in the back of her mind she was vaguely aware that the sun hadn’t been up for very long. Which meant she shouldn’t be up either. Unfortunately, Christina had other plans. The door burst open with the force of a cartoon character, and in bounced a hurricane of plaid pajama pants, tangled brown hair, and dangerous levels of enthusiasm. "Rise and shine!"
