The mall was as massive as Danielle remembered. The vaulted ceiling stretched high above her, natural light filtering through the skylights, giving the space an airy feel despite the constant hum of shoppers moving from store to store. The last time she had been here, Christina had dragged her along for prom dress shopping, chattering excitedly as she insisted Danielle try on gowns she had no intention of wearing.
