“They truly are magnificent creatures, aren't they, Danielle?” Rose asked, eyes on the thing. Danielle stared. Were they even looking at the same creature? The tall narrow inhuman thing with no face? The freaky creature that could move through walls, and apparently rose bushes, as though they didn't exist? “Magnificent?” She asked incredulously. “Try terrifying.” “They aren't scary,” she turned her gaze on Danielle. “They can't harm you, dear. You know what they do. They can't harm anyone, living or dead.” She sighed wistfully and looked at it admiringly. “They're just so very misunderstood.” This lady was so weird.
