“Danielle?” Seth’s muffled voice came through the closed door. “Yes?” she replied, her voice a little too high. “Can I… uh…” He hesitated. “Come in?” She glanced down at the now slightly rose-tinted water, petals floating lazily on the surface. “…Sure,” she said after a second. “It’s your bathroom.” The door opened slowly, and Seth stepped in holding a tray that held some kind of soup, crackers, a bottle of water, and what looked suspiciously like a brownie tucked to one side. “I brought food,” he said, eyes darting toward her and then very pointedly locking on the far wall. “Don’t worry, I’m not trying to ogle you while you’re soaking in my tub full of… whatever that is.” She glanced down at the mess of petals. “I think I did something bad.
