Danielle didn’t know where she was going. Not consciously. But her feet carried her forward, light and careless, tracing a path they already knew. She felt Seth's eyes on her, and giggled as she twirled, turning down a street. She gently brushed the trunk of a tree, a smear of reddish-brown blood against the bark. Deja f*****g vu. She hit that tree. Punched it. Smashed her knuckles up. That was her blood. Then it had healed strangely fast. So strange.
