Chapter 5

Getting the kids ready this s**t been weighing heavy on my mind. I really wanted to cuss her ass out and tell her f**k no she can't see my kids but I thought about them and how they was just crying to me and I couldn't bring myself to do it.

"Daddy where we going". Josiah asked sitting on the bed as I did Alyssa's hair.

"We're meeting someone". I said causing them both to look at me.

"Who". Alyssa asked staring at me.

"Mommy". I said and they got up and started screaming causing me to laugh.

"Alright alright Alyssa come on so we can finish". I said waving her over.

"You were right bubba". Alyssa said causing me to look down at her confused.

"He was right about what". I ask finishing up her hair.

"Bubba said if we prayed for mommy to come then she would and she is". Alyssa said causing me to look at her in shock.

"I told you god was listening". Josiah said causing me to look over at him.

I'm so shocked cause I was agnostic so I don't know where they got it from but I'm not going to stop them from believing in what they want to believe.

"Alright let's go". I said clasping my hands together standing up.

Walking out of the house we get in the car and I back out.

~Aquarium~

Pulling up outside the kids were knocked out. Cutting the car off I reach in the back and shake them awake.

Opening their eyes they look around before realizing where we were.

"Is she here yet, what does she look like, did she stop by the car". Alyssa asked excitedly.

"We have to go in first baby". I said laughing as I unbuckled my seat belt and got out.

Locking the door we make our way inside. I buy the tickets and we walk over to the stingrays.

After a while of walking I tell them to stop at the tank full off sharks cause it had bench's in front of it.

Pulling out my phone I text Maranda to see where she's at because it's 2:15.

Standing up front the bench I walk over to the kids as they were pointing to the different people while talking to each other.

"Do you think that's her". I heard Alyssa ask Josiah.

"Nah she look to old". He said causing her to laugh.

"Aye stop that and don't point that's rude". I said and she quickly put her hand down.

Looking down at my watch I see it's going on 3 o'clock.

"Where the f**k is she". I mumbled to myself looking up.

Looking around I spot Maranda walking our way and it seems like the kids knew exactly who she was cause they ran over to her hugging her legs.

Walking over she was squatting down talking to them.

"Daddy look it's mommy". Alyssa said looking up at me as I gave her a small fake smile.

"I see babygirl". I said looking at Maranda.

"Hey". She said looking at me.

"Don't talk to me spend some time with them cause we going home in a few minutes". I said before going and standing behind them.

They started walking and showing her all the different stuff that was there.

~25 minutes later~

"Alright y'all it's time to go". I said walking up to them.

"Aww man can she come with us please daddy". Alyssa said begging and I looked over Josiah was looking at me with pleading eyes.

"I sent you my address". I said said before telling the kids to come on.

"Daddy mommy is so cool". Alyssa said as Josiah nodded agreeing with her.

"Yea dad she designs houses". Josiah said as we all got in the car and I pulled off.

"Yea cool". I said trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible.

For the rest of the ride they talked about how cool their mom was.

Hopefully she don't leave permanently again...
