Act 2, Scene 14
Setting: Midnight. A rooftop across the street from Taeyang’s apartment. The city is soaked in storm. Lightning dances above like cracks in heaven’s wall. Lee Yeon stands completely still beneath the pouring rain, a black umbrella casting half his face in shadow. He watches.
⸻
(Raindrops splatter on the concrete. Cold wind whips through the night, but Lee Yeon is unmoving — his eyes are fixed on the dim glow of Taeyang’s window across the street. Behind it, a curtain sways, offering slivers of what lies inside: movement, breath, vulnerability.)
⸻
LEE YEON (voiceover)
I told myself I’d stop.
Told myself I wouldn’t look anymore.
That I’d let him go.
But hyung… you keep making it impossible.
(He tilts his head slightly, lips parting just enough for breath to curl into the cold. The way he looks is not soft — it’s focused, too quiet. There’s reverence in the way he watches. And something far more dangerous.)
⸻
LEE YEON (voiceover)
You still leave your curtains half-open.
Do you want someone to see you?
Do you want me to see you?
(Lightning cracks again. Taeyang’s silhouette passes by the window shirtless, towel around his neck. He runs his fingers through his damp hair, yawns. Lee Yeon’s fingers twitch slightly.)
⸻
LEE YEON (whispers)
Still beautiful.
Still mine.
(He lowers the umbrella slightly, letting rain kiss his face. His black hoodie clings to his skin. Thunder rumbles overhead as his gaze never falters.)
⸻
LEE YEON (voiceover)
You tremble when you sleep now.
You sigh like something’s missing.
Like someone.
You can’t hide it from me, hyung.
You never could.
⸻
(Taeyang lies on the bed, covers half over him, back to the window. He shifts, then stills. Lee Yeon crouches down on the edge of the rooftop, like a beast observing something delicate.)
⸻
LEE YEON (voiceover)
You’re trying to forget.
But your body remembers.
The kiss. The weight of my voice when I said your name.
The heat when I pinned you down and touched the part of you even you don’t understand yet.
You think it was a mistake.
I think it was the beginning.
⸻
(Lee Yeon stands again. His face lifts slightly, eyes burning with devotion twisted into obsession.)
⸻
LEE YEON (whispering)
You can’t run from me, Taeyang.
I’m not the scared boy you rejected anymore.
⸻
(Inside, Taeyang’s hand twitches on the pillow. He turns his face toward the window — his eyes still closed, but uneasy. Almost as if he knows.)
⸻
LEE YEON (voiceover)
You feel it, don’t you?
Even in your dreams, your soul knows I’m near.
⸻
(Lee Yeon slowly presses two fingers to his own lips, then to the railing — like a promise sealed in silence.)
⸻
LEE YEON (whispers)
I’m closer than you think.
Closer than anyone else.
And soon… you’ll stop pretending you don’t want me.
⸻
(The rain keeps falling. But Lee Yeon stands there, unmoving. Devoted. Dangerous. Watching the only person that ever made him feel alive.)
(Scene fades to black with the sound of thunder and the city breathing.)
