Chapter 2: Trouble in the Market Episode

201 Words
A few days later, Daniel decided to take the parrots with him to the market so that people could see how clever they were. The town square was crowded as usual. People were bargaining over prices, laughing, and discussing the news of the day. Daniel walked proudly with the cage in his hands. Suddenly, one of the parrots flapped her wings and shouted loudly, “Hello everyone! We’re prostitutes! Let’s have a nice time!” The entire market froze. Before Daniel could react, the second parrot added loudly, “Yes! Come and enjoy with us!” A shocked silence spread through the crowd. Then whispers began. “What did that bird say?” “Did you hear that?” Some people stared at Daniel with disbelief, while others began laughing loudly. A woman shook her head in disapproval, and an old man looked at Daniel as if he had committed a terrible crime. Daniel’s face turned red with embarrassment. “Oh no… not again,” he whispered. He tried to cover the cage with a cloth, but the parrots continued repeating their strange message to everyone who passed by. Daniel hurried away from the market, wishing the ground would swallow him.
