The days that followed my birthday were… well easier.
I found myself spending more time with Lyra, learning about the pack, about their history, their traditions.
She was teaching me how to defend myself, showing me basic self defense moves.
"It's all about leverage," she'd say, demonstrating a move that could send a man twice her size to the ground. "And knowing where to hit. The throat, the eyes, the knees. They're all weak spots, wolf or human."
