Chapter Three

“No, mother it is not a chance that I could be because I am pregnant right now as we speak but I just found out 30 minutes before coming to see you, how did you know, do you think that the prophecy is talking about my baby”, I asked a little worried.

“You my dear are the only hybrid of any kind that I am aware of, but I also have a really bad feeling that the threat might be close than we think, have you noticed anything strange going on around the pack lately”? my mother asked also looking worried.

“No not really, but I have noticed that William’s stepbrother Matthew has been acting differently ever since I saw him come out of the dead forest a couple of years ago”, I said to my mother thinking back.

“How? Has he changed any Kara? Have you noticed anything else, like do you have a feeling that you are being watched”? my mother asked me.

I tensed up a little thinking back, “when he came out of the woods, he was staring at me in a day's almost like he was daydreaming, but when I spoke to him the look in his eyes was pure longing and lust. He also had a small cut on his hand said that he might have nicked it on a tree”, I said looking at her confused.

“Kara, I need you to listen to me closely, have you been having weird dreams lately”? She asked curiously.

“Yes, I have been having some pretty strange and scary dreams lately and both of my wolves have been on edge every time Matthew is around, but I just thought that my wolves think he has a harmless crush on us”, I said looking her in her eyes. Then it happened:

“You will have the ultimate hybrid of all time, she will be in much danger the darkness wants her for his wife and Matthew wants you to be his Queen, he has been conspiring with the darkness to steal you from your mate. You will need to be prepared because when the time comes it will happen so fast that you nor anyone in the kingdom will know what hit them”, the voice said.

Why does the darkness want my child to be his wife, what if she has a destined mate? How can Matthew steal me from my mate I'm marked and mated?

“He wants your child for her powers so that he can be the most powerful being in any realm. Matthew will kill your mate with a special knife that can only kill Lycian’s, child you must prepare yourself, but you also must not tell anyone for you do not know who can be trusted” the voiced said. And just like that my mom was back looking at me more worried than before.

“My child do not worry about the baby I will cast a powerful spell to protect her, about the other thing I am not so sure about, but I can also work on a spell that might be able to put William in a deep sleep almost as if he is dead. Your mark can and will be magical hidden so that Matthew will continue to think William is dead but once the child is born, she cannot stay here. I hope and pray that whatever is about to happen doesn’t damage the world to bad, because from what I saw this war is going to be over just as quick as it started”, my mother said walking back to sit on the couch.

“What kind of spell will you be using to protect my baby, and can it be used now”? I asked my mother in a panic.

“Well, my daughter I am going to use a power and shifter blocking spell, and yes it can be used now. Basically, it will render your baby of all its abilities so she would grow up human with no knowledge that the supernatural world exist, but I think that I will also have to bind Kol as well because when the time comes the baby is going to need some guidance”, my mother said. “But let me warn you now as a mother if this plan falls through, I will curse everything and everyone around and, on these grounds, to remain in their human forms until you or my grandchild is found and brought back together do you understand me? do I make myself perfectly clear”? my mother said looking at me seriously.

Crystal clear was all I could say, to the promise I just heard my mother speak because for her family that woman would move heaven and hell if she could.

6 months' time was all I could think about as I walked back to the palace.

Seven months later

Well don’t they just look adorable, one month ago we were blessed with a set of twins one boy who we named Hunter William Blackshear and one girl named Heaven Eve Blackshear. They are growing up so fast, but I know in the back of my mind that I have to give my children to someone who will keep them both safe, and that hurts me every time that I look at them. I will not get to watch them grow up or teach them about what we are and what we can do I think to myself as silent tears roll down my face. My mother suggested that they should grow up in different homes to make it harder for them to be found and for some strange reason I have to agree. So Kol is going to take Hunter down to Louisiana where he grew up and leave him with a family friend and I will be taking Heaven to the human town on the other side of the forest. I will miss my children so much and I just want them to know that they were loved while they were with us.

“Alpha we are under attack”, I heard one of the warriors' mind links.

I guess that is my cue to get Heaven out of here, Kol left hours ago with Hunter, but I guess I didn’t want to really part with the only child I had left.

“Honey, you have to get her out here, please save the both of you I will come and find the three of you when the fight is over”, I heard William say through mind link.

“I love you William now and forever”, I said through mind link. Just then I felt the sharpest pain rip through me, and I could not do anything but scream, but for the sake of my baby I need to get her as far away from here as possible.

Saying goodbye is such sweet sorrow but I know that this family will take great care of my little Heaven, because once upon a time Lillian’s parents took care of me, running through the woods I can hear someone running right behind me so I quickly pick up my speed just a little more making sure that I don’t lead them straight to where my daughter will be living for now on.

Closing in on the house that I have been looking for I see that the car door is open as if they are getting something out of it, so I slip Heaven on the back porch, saying a quick goodbye with a kiss I dash off in the opposite direction. About a good 45 minutes later I was caught being brought back to the palace, as we arrived back on the grounds what I saw next made my heart shatter, there was my mate lying in a pool of his own blood dead, I could have died right then and there but I remembered what my mother told me. So, I just played the part of a grieving mate. “How could you he was your brother for f**k sake”? I screamed out.

“He was no brother of mine just like Tobias was no father of mine", Matthew said smiling down at Williams body. Now that he is gone you will be mine and I will be the King now. “I will never love you; you are f*****g sick for doing any of this”, I screamed at him. “Take her to my new room, I will deal with her when I get there”, he said to one of his warriors.

“Mark my words I will curse these lands no supernatural will ever exist here!”, An eerie voice said full of pain and hurt.

116 YEARS LATER At the Blue Diamond Moon Pack

“Alpha Miguel Creedmoor this is Natalia Knightly”, the voice said on the other side of the phone.

“What do I owe the pleasure of a phone call Natalia, I haven't spoken to you since my father was Alpha almost 150 years ago”, Miguel said.

“Well Alpha I was really calling to check on the package that I dropped off some time ago and also to give you some information that I am pretty sure your father did not pass down to you”, she said.

“O Okay well the package is still safe and sound I am not sure what it is I just know that I was told to keep it locked away until you came for it since you and my father are the only that can open it”, I responded.
