I woke up this morning to expect scolding from Dad about my behavior towards the dinner with the woods last night but I got nothing of such.
Instead, he talked tirelessly about how perfectly the hotel's inauguration should turn out later today.
We have been preparing for this great event of the corporation's great achievement for the past week. It was no surprise he pushed Vera's issue aside as this was more pressing at the moment and he was a man of priorities.
"You boys are both aware I'm expecting a few friends from the government over for the inauguration. I want no mistakes" he ordered once again before getting into his car and left for work leaving me and Trav standing behind by my own car.
