Even though I had gone back to work at Stella Cucina’s pretty quickly, I was struggling to get back to work at Jasper & Jade. The representative from Human Resources that approved my leave of absence was halting my return every step of the way. I couldn’t go back while I was on crutches, and even once I came off the crutches, they were being difficult about physician’s statements and what my limitations were. So I focused on Stella’s instead, opening my availability up to where I could work day shifts as well. Eli happily accommodated me, and told me to let him know if I needed longer breaks when I worked a double or fewer days because of working doubles.
