Chapter 11:Life

1665 Words
Midday After enduring through their father's harsh training session with their signature looks on their face, the brothers were walking to the living room, Demios deep in thought, Miko with a cold expression and Hyde with a playful expression. Strolling to the wooden bench, acting as their modern-day couch, they watched the handsome pale skin man with blue striking blue features pull out stacks of paper and books as he prepared the lesson. "Uncle Frey, we all had strange dreams, and we want you to tell us why we had it. We were going to ask dad this morning, but ... I believe you are the best person to ask," Miko said, cupping his hands. "So you realised that your questions would lead to him freaking out again, huh," Frey mumbled, forcing a smile. "Look at what you've become, Grey; the kids you desperately wanted to keep are scarred by you," His thoughts wandered. "Uncle," Demios added. "You had them already? It looks like today's lesson plan will have to change," Frey replied, looking shocked. "What do you mean, Uncle Frey?" Hyde asked nervously, watching more paper being brought out by his Uncle; he noticed that Frey's movements even seemed to have a bit of a kick to them. A notable wet patch appeared on Hydes back. "Hmm, where can I start? Let's see bloodlines, huh. I don't know too much about that area, but it should be enough to satisfy your curiosity. You know how you guys can see really well and remember, and your thoughts are processed faster than the villagers, " Watching their Uncle in confusion, Frey wiped Hyde's forehead with his hand, and the brothers could see tiny sweat bubbles on Frey's palm. "You see this, don't you?" Frey pointed to his palm. "Your whole palm is wet, though," Demios replied, his eyebrows scrunched. "Miko describe to us what you can see here," Frey wiped the sweat with a handkerchief. Showing his palm to the brothers again, Miko perked up, " There are still four bubbles at the palm of your hand. Like a square and ... a tiny hair is inside the top right bubble," "Exactly normal people can't see this," Frey smiled. Miko and Hyde just nodded their heads while Demios looked in confusion" That's because of your bloodline or should I say one of your lineages, you see from ancient times there were certain people that would devour the ancients beats they slew. And through a particular ritual, that specific person would obtain the bloodline of that beast, gaining their innate abilities and their ability to manipulate Orbis. However, this caused those humans to resemble the beasts when they circulated their Orbis. At least that's what I've learned from old journals back home; however, if I was honest with you all, I still don't know anything. "I don't understand, Uncle!" asked Demios hurriedly. "Let me get to that," Pouring himself a cup of water, "Young ones nowadays. Your dreams are known to be caused by your bloodline purity. The bloodline purity is said to be linked with the human's affinity with the ancestor. Some even suggest that if the affinity is high, the ancestor and child will fight for control for the body." "Really," Hyde smile widened, revealing his teeth. Taking but a glance at Hyde, Frey continued, "It's an old legend. Anyways the tattoos on your bodies are the result of your father's extensive research on bloodlines. Especially the power that is hidden within them, as he found that even those people couldn't extract those ancient beasts' true power. Which meant they could never reach the full potential of their bloodline," "So that means that our tattoos are the result of us having a hundred per cent bloodline purity!" Hyde added, feeling excited at the prospect of being powerful. "I don't know! Although your tattoos should have appeared later when our bloodline had matured a bit. your mum decided to sacrifice most of her bloodline purity for you guys to become closer to yours. * Sigh* If only she wasn't selected." "She was selected? By who?" The brothers questioned, their eyes shining. "Yes, she was selected; we aren't the only ones here after all. Moving on, theories would suggest you would have been selected by your ancestors who had the same bloodline. And they determine the innate ability you get according to your nature and affinity. Well, that's all I really know for now... Hmm, let me add this for your safety, but a person can only have one bloodline, and on the odd chance, a person has two bloodlines. They only had a one in a million chance of surviving the collision of their bloodlines at birth. If they did survive, their combat prowess and their overall talent, in general, would be exponential. I say that from experience. After all, I've met 5 five of them." Seeing Miko about to speak, Frey added, "Your eyes have already asked the question. your father and his brother, the other three I met in the central content on a little island underground, and a couple of other places in the world." "However, you guys have three bloodlines! So, in theory, you shouldn't even exist in this world, let alone three of you. I truly am excited by your futures. Although it would be interesting to see if those blessings are your crutch, don't get me wrong, as your Uncle, I hope you all grow strong and healthy. Still, it truly would be fascinating to see if those bloodlines can provide you with actual strength. Also, those necklaces that you wear are keeping you alive, and your bloodlines seem to be at peace with each other which is truly amazing. Without the necklaces, you would have blown up to smithereens by now," Frey explained, an expressive smile plastered on his face. "*Cough*Cough* Times up! its time for your lesson on medicine and Frey..." Grey said. Feeling daggers on his back," I know I said too much," Frey replied, looking at the frightened brothers. Shaking his head, he left the living room with a conflicted expression. "Well, Hyde, tell me what you understood from yesterdays lesson," Grey asked, brushing Frey's discussion under the carpet. "Dad," Miko cried out. Grey's expression turned cold. "Isn't it what I remember from yesterdays lesson?" Hyde replied, looking at Grey innocently "Stop trying to act smart; I know you didn't forget," Grey said. Gently scrunching his hair, Hyde smiled. "Ermm, that we prescribe herbs to save peoples lives and that we should always charge them before saving their life," "Correct and incorrect, Demios inform us of what was missing from Hyde's summary", Grey demanded. "He really is trying to brush this under the carpet, "Demios thought. " Well, he forgot that yesterday we covered how to judge herbs based on their colour, which provides the doctor with the therapeutic attributes of the herb. " Moreover, we also judge the herbs on their smell and taste, geographic location and their appearance. Leading us to conclude that depending on the herbs we can select in our circumstance, we then prescribe herbs similar or close to the same effect to save peoples lives." Hyde winked at Demios "So you're using me to get out of this, huh," Demios smiled. Hyde smiled back at him in approval. "Good explanation, but get straight to the point next time," Grey added. "Got it, "Demios replied. "Now, for today's lesson, we will focus on the meridians in the body and the four main points of the meridians importance in the body. For starters, do you know what the meridians are?" Grey asked. "..." "Of course you don't because I haven't given you any books to read on the subject. Hmm, let's start with how the meridians connect everything in your body together. First off, imagine the body's anatomy system in your head, from the cells to tendons, bones, and organs, everything in your body. Including the analogy of the mind, emotions and the spirit. The pathways are the meridians, and they all form your body," explained Grey. "So, are there any important meridians? That without them, we wouldn't be able to live properly," Miko asked. "That's my son great question; there are twelve major meridians. That run each side of the body, and each meridian corresponds to an internal organ which is why organ systems are also dependent on the greater meridian network," Grey smiled. "But Dad, how can we use this to help people? Isn't the organs and bones more important than the meridians," Miko asked. "You can decide that one for yourself, Miko, as each practitioner believes in different things, and the meridians are incredibly sensitive. Carrying the effects of stimulation in the form of healing energy throughout your entire being. It is this special quality that allows the various treatment modalities to work. You can also stimulate this by using herbs, acupuncture or acupressure to restore balance and health of the injured person." said Grey "Dad, look outside its time for us to go to Uncle blacks lesson for dealing with people!" Hyde yelled, growing impatient with the overloading information. "Oh! That so then, do you guys want to miss my story of fighting a guy hailed as the demon of my generation?" Grey laughed, taking a seat. "Demon?" they all inquired, looking a hundred times more interested in the story than the lesson. " Hmm, should I say or should I not?" Grey questioned, looking like he was in the middle of making a big decision that would impact his life significantly. " Please do," Hyde begged. "I will tell you everything Uncle Black and Uncle Frey says behind your back for the next week," Demios suggested. "As expected of my son, you understand how we should operate, and Hyde beg me again, and you won't get any food for the entire week," Grey smirked. "Yes, dad," Hyde replied, unfazed by his father's punishment. "So it's started like this...
