My eyes felt heavy, my head hurts alot.i could feel the numbness in my body,I opened my eyes to a strange environment, the air was cold but I was warmly wrapped in a blanket,I could not move, I felt weak as though I have not moved for decades. I let my eyes do the searching. I was no longer in my room but in a cottage, candles burning brightly around the room, the ceiling was very far up,the walls were full of strange markings, suddenly I had a vision, it was quick but yeah I saw something. My eyes keeps on searching, there Zain was,he was sleeping at the foot of the bed, he looked tired, his shoulder length hair ran across his face, his long lashes covered his eyes, those dark brown eyes, his nose is so long, u would measure a straight line with it, then his lips , the type you would want your first kiss with.the veins in his neck and arm pooped out,I grasped, his chest was half open, adrenaline were rushing round my body, his body was perfectly sculptured,as my eyes kept searching I saw weird drawings on his chest although it's was not displayed fully,I tried to stand up but felt a sharp pain in my chest, letting out a loud grasp “Ouch” I held unto my chest, it's was painful I have never felt this pain before, just then I saw glowing light from the mark on Zain body, I could see the light continue stretching towards his abdomen, I was speechless, the candles around the room began to flickered, and the cold air because colder. Zain body tensed, His lashes flickered I heard my breath. The glow was still there,I only just noticed that the markings on the walls were glowing as well. “Zain” I whispered His eyes opened, but there were no long dark brown, there were red now,not blazing like before but glowing. I just glared. The look on his face was unreadable; he just blinked and his eyes were back to normal so was the room. He came up to me,I could sense fear in his actions. “My lady…..are you feeling pain anywhere, does your head hurt” “Zain Your chest was glowing…..”, he hesitated “ It's because you felt pain” his face looked like he was about to cry. Those words brought me back to my senses. “Because I felt pain?...Zain what's going on,were are we?,what is this place and please explain what is going on with me?“ “My lady…” he paused, like the words were too heavy for him to say. I stared at him, my chest rising and falling fast. “I already know this isn't normal so please don't hesitate,” I said again, my voice softer this time but firm. He looked at me for a long moment, then sighed quietly. “We are not safe anymore,we need to leave this place” he said. My heart skipped. “What do you mean not safe?” I asked, my voice shaking. He moved a little closer to me. “Those shadows… they were not random. They came for you.” “For me?” I repeated, confused. “Why would those things come for me?” He didn’t answer immediately. I noticed fear in his eyes,I couldn't understand the fear but the way he looked at me… “They are not just things, they are shadows…They are drawn to your blood,” he finally said. I froze . “My… blood? Why would they want my blood” I whispered. The room suddenly felt colder. I held the blanket tighter around me. “That’s not possible,” I shook my head slowly. “I’m just… me. What do they want with my blood?" Zain looked at me in a way I didn’t understand. “You are not just you, my lady.” Silence filled the room. My heart was beating so loud I could hear it, it felt as though it would jump out of my chest. “Then what am I?,or who am I?” I asked. Before he could answer, a sharp pain hit my chest again. “Ouch…” I held onto myself, breathing hard. Zain’s expression changed immediately, I saw that fear I could not understand again. At that same moment, the mark on his chest began to glow again. Brighter than before and the pain hurt more this time. The light spread slowly across his skin,I know he was in pain but he still looked okay, there was no expression of pain, only that look of fear. I stared at it, unable to look away. “It’s happening again…” I whispered. The candles flickered violently, and the strange markings on the walls lit up faintly. Zain clenched his fists. “Stay calm,” he said quickly. “Don’t panic.” “How can I stay calm?!” I almost cried. “Your chest glows when my heart hurts!. Why?” He stepped closer, his face serious. “These markings are bound to you,” he said. “Bound to me?” I repeated. “Yes,” he nodded. “It reacts to your life… your pain… your emotions.” I shook my head, tears forming in my eyes,I was confused. “I don’t understand any of this… Zain what's really going on?” He looked down for a moment. “I was trying to protect you,” “By hiding everything from me?” I said, my voice breaking. “I had no choice.” Then the tears came down quietly. “There is always a choice, Zain, I don't know who I am,I knew I was different but nobody said anything about it” I said softly. He looked at me again. “You wouldn’t say that if you knew the truth.” “Then tell me,” I said immediately. “Tell me everything.” The glow slowly began to fade from his chest. The room returned to normal. But the tension remained. Zain took a deep breath. “You asked me who you are,” he said. I nodded slowly, patiently waiting for him to speak. He stepped even closer now, his eyes locked on mine. “You are a bloodwitch.” he said. My heart stopped for a second…
