Chapter 6Harper’s work phone rang Thursday night, just as it always did. This time, unlike before, she was hesitant to answer the call. Harper had made up her mind after her lunch with Macy. The woman had been right; Harper needed to start saying no to the things she didn’t want and yes to things she did. What she currently wanted, what she’d wanted for quite some time, was Em. Tonight, she was finally going to do something about it.
With trembling fingers, Harper picked up the phone and answered it. “You’ve reached Luna, how can I please you tonight?”
“Luna,” Em said slowly into the phone, as if she were savoring the name. “You always ask how to please me, but I’m sure you know how to by now.”
