Chapter 10This was a bad idea. A very, very bad idea. Macy was once again pacing the floor of her living room. At this point, she was surprised she hadn’t burned a path in her goddamn carpet. Darwin watched lazily as she moved around, unaware of her inner turmoil. Despite the alarm bells going off in her mind, Macy knew she had done the right thing. Harper had looked so dejected when she’d considered missing the wedding. Macy knew family was already a sore spot for Harper; they’d discussed it at one of their lunch outings. The bastards had kicked her out of the house when they’d found out she was queer and cut off nearly all contact with her afterwards. Harper had been excited at the prospect of reconnecting with a kind sibling and seeing some of her loved ones again. If Macy could help
