Chapter 25 - SacrificeThere were no long-winded goodbyes or anyone kissing me like they'd never see me again. Lindee acted like I was going to do nothing more dangerous than go to a sports meet as Dante, Vasyl, Cho and I stood in my living room about to depart—me via ley lines, Dante in his usual mysterious way, and Vasyl as vampires usually travel. “Go kick ass,” Lindee said, both thumbs up to us.
Earlier, while she was braiding my hair, I told Lindee that Dante—or someone—may bring my brother and his family members back here for safe keeping, and to expect their sudden appearance.
