Denise is alive and stable. Only family can see her, but Jessie updates us every few hours. Although I overslept, I went to school today to keep my mind occupied. And I needed to talk to Laura. Word was out about yesterday’s events, and Laura had already taken up a collection for flowers. When Janine expressed her concern about Denise to Russ and me, I was pleasantly surprised.
Roy Kinney said the sheriff had heard from a witness that a car with three guys inside was tailgating a Studebaker around seven o’clock the night of the accident.
