CHAPTER FIVE
SEPTEMBER 27, 1960
Today Laura’s class was as fantastic as the formal educational process will allow. She said ALOUD that my interpretation of Lady Anne’s soliloquy in Richard III was more “insightful” than most she has heard. I think everyone was impressed. After class, Laura smiled and suggested I drop by her house again for drinks and s*x (maybe it was “drinks and a snack.”) Either way, I was all for it.
Because I was still disappointed with Janine, I was feeling vindicated when she smiled at me today as if I was the captain of the basketball team.
