As Maggie brewed coffee, I settled in at the table to read the Gazette. James took the cup Maggie poured for him and went to fetch the post. “Look at this. A newspaper in Britain, the Observer, has begun publishing on Sundays,” I read from a column on the front page. “Bah! Blasphemy.
