8 Ambiguous Morning

1371 Words
The morning sun shines through the window on Olivias’s reddish cheeks, and the hickeys on her body tell of last night's madness. “Um..” Olivia rubbed her head, and the soreness of her body made it difficult for her to move. It took about two minutes for her eyes to gradually become clear. She couldn't help frowning when she looked at the strange room she was in. “Where is this? I…” Olivia said and sat up looking at herself naked under the blanket. Olivia was frightened, quickly covering herself back up with the blanket. She looked around, only to see a man’s naked back. “How can there be a man in bed with me! What the hell happened last night?” She asked herself. Olivia thought hard, and vague, fragmented memories flashed in her mind. The cafe, Hannah, And the strange man. “I….I was…” She couldn't even finish the thought in her head. The marks on her body created her thoughts. Looking at the mans back besides her, Olivia struggled to get up. Her eyes were red and tears flowed from them. What should she do? Should she call the police? Her voice woke up Matthew, who was sleeping soundly. He closed his eyes tightly, and seemed to be dissatisfied. He rubbed his face and sat up. He turned to look at Olivia and he gave her a slightly confused look. “AHHH!” With a scream of horror, Olivia jumped out of bed still wrapped in the blanket, and got as far away from the bed as she could, her face full of worry. But Matthew was also naked in bed with her. “Matthew? Why are you here?” Olivia asked angrily, looking at his facial features. Matthew was still confused, but Olivia was wide awake. Looking at the little angry woman, he didn't panic, but gave her a sunny smile. “Good morning Olivia.” Accustomed to Matthew always having a cold looking face, Olivia was stunned to see a different emotion. After her reaction he wasn't angry at all. This man slept with her and he was not ashamed about it! Before she could ask any questions, Matthew was the first to ask her, “Do you remember what happened yesterday?” Seeing him get serious, Olivia replied, “Hannah apologized to me and brought me to the cafe. We had a little wine, and then I….. I remember a strange man…” Matthew heard her and a trace of viciousness flashed through his eyes. Hannah is into trying to hurt Olivia. She must be punished, otherwise she will continue to do bad things to Olivia. “Don't trust people so easy in the future, the world is really sinister.” Matthew said to Olivia. Matthew frowned when he thought about Olivia often being taken advantage of by others, after she got the job at IBM. The other day she helped an employee print documents and she helped another employee clean his desk. Olivia has a good temper and does what's asked of her. In silence she endured it, but she will only make those people think that she is an easy target to bully, thus making things worse for herself. Olivia bowed her head and bit her lip without saying a word. She always believed that if she was good to others, others would be good to her. But it wasn't as simple as she thought. “I see” Olivia said in a small voice. After this, Olivia looked up at Matthew only to find that the atmosphere between them became very awkward. She has clearly asked him questions before, so why does she feel like this time she is lecturing him now? “Last night we… you…. What happened between us?”Olivia couldn't finish the question. She blushed, kinda knowing the whole story. She didn't know if she should be grateful to Matthew or resent him. If it werent for Matthew, she would have been r***d by that man… but now she had s*x with Matthew for the second time. Who should she have to thank for that? Seeing her appearance, Matthew approached and said, “This is not the first time for the 2 of us. And you were drugged last night. With the state of mind that you were in, you didn't give me much of a choice. “ Only Matthew knew whether he could or couldn't control his desire for Olivia. Anyway, it was Matthew who saved her last night. Olivia couldn't say anything. She turned to see the sunshine outside the window. Suddenly she remembered that she had work today. She urgently asked, “ What time is it?” Matthew picked up his phone, “It is 8:10 am. Twenty minutes till we have to be at work.” “You, You get out of the room so I can get dressed!” Olivia said it like her face was about to bleed. Matthew smiled at her but he didn't say anything. He left the room like she asked. After seeing the door closed Olivia went to find her clothes still wrapped in the blanket. Her clothes are still on the floor. Olivia’s face is still red. After putting her clothes on she couldn't find her phone. After she searched all over, and when she couldn't find it she asked Matthew for help. “Have you seen my phone?” When Matthew got back into the room he immediately pulled out the phone from under the pillow and gave it to Olivia. “Let's go to work. I will come with you.” Olivia didn't refuse. If she was late to work, it would definitely be taken out of her pay, and it would give the supervisors a bad impression of her. This is what new employees are afraid of during the probation period at work. Fifteen minutes later, she rushed into the office and missed a step on the small staircase. If Matthew hadn't been there she would have fallen . “Thank you” Olivia said to Matthew and then went straight to her desk. This was all seen by Brooke, and her face distorted with anger. She wondered why Olivia was here and wanted to know what happened to what Hannah had planned yesterday. Seeing that Hannah was not that far from Olivia’s desk, Olivia pressed her lips together and her brows furrowed tighter and tighter. Her charming face now looked very, very angry. Hannah sat at her desk, watching Olicia walk past her, typing on her computer, frowning and wondering , why does she look like nothing happened to her? Uneasy Hannah stood up and went to the bathroom. Oliia noticed Hannah back and said nothing. After a minute or so, Olivia stood up and followed Hannah into the bathroom. This didn't alarm anyone. Everyone was busy with their own affairs, and no one knew what was about to go down. Hannah was so bewildered that she didn't notice Olivia following her. Hannah went into one of those stalls and locked it behind her. She took out her phone and started pressing numbers. “Ring-Ring” the phone rang only a few times and then he picked up. Hannah lowered her voice. “What happened yesterday? Why doesn't Olivia seem to be absolutely fine?” On the other end of the phone, a man’s voice spoke. “I don't want to talk about it. The ducks that came, broke my teeth, the meat was not eaten and I was injured in vain.” When Hannah heard this she asked hastily, “What the hell is going on? You're not making any sense! Make it make sense!” “The plan was almost a success yesterday. I don't know who the man was that kicked in the hotel room door, when I was right in the middle of getting things done. He hit me many times, I bled and lost some teeth. It really sucked!” The man's voice was a little angry. “Oh my god! Okay, I will call you if anything changes.” Hannah closed the phone, clutching it to her tightly, her face foul of dismay.
