CHAPTER 4 — SURPRISE?

“Good day to all fairies present here today, I would like to inform all of you that today we’re not just celebrating the Princesses appearance for the enchanted wall. I would also like to announce the engagement between the Prince and Princess from two different fairy kingdoms. Kingdom of Faerhaven and Kingdom of Fealoria, under Prince Orion and Princess Zineriah, and because of this, LET’S HAVE A TOAST!” the announcement that made my jaw drop.

“No, what? How come I didn’t know about this?” I broke the yells and happiness.

“Princess, I’m sorry but I don’t mean to overstep but ---” I cut him off before he even finished speaking

“DON’T YOU DARE INTERVINED WHILE I’M TALKING” I yelled “ALL OF YOU IN THIS CASTLE KNOW ABOUT THIS ENGAGEMENT YET NO ONE BOTHERED TO TELL ME?” I added.

“Princess, trust us, we wanted to tell you, but the Queen told us that it’s gonna be a surpri—” my mother cut her off

“Princess Zineriah, be calm.” My mother calmly said like she’s trying to control me at the same time enjoying this state of mine. “It’s supposed to be a surprise, because I know you wouldn’t agree if I told you.” She added

“WHAT? DOES THIS MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE? I STILL WOULDN’T AGREE. AND FOR GOD MOTHERS SAKE A SURPRISE? IT’S MY WHOLE LIFE, THE KINGDOMS FAITH WE’RE TALKING ABOUT!!” I yelled, getting mad, I was about to explode when I heard a soft familiar voice behind me “Be calm” that’s the voice I heard

“Zineriah be calm” the voice kept on echoing from behind, I looked back and saw Ash, when I saw her calm and pleasing face I calm down that’s until…..

“WHO ARE YOU TO INTERVINED WITH WHAT THE PRINCESS IS SAYING AND WHO ARE YOU TELLING HER TO CALM DOWN? EVEN THE QUEEN CAN’T MAKE HER CALM DOWN YET YOU ARE HERE TRYING TO CALM HER? HAHAHA YOU’RE SO PATHETIC” I heard someone yelled that made me explode again

I saw how she was hurt about that yell, she’s a soft person and a simple yell can make her cry “DON’T YOU DARE YELL AT HER” I yelled back “But Prince----” he was about to answer but I cut him off “YOU’RE ANSWERING ME AND TRYING TO INTERVINED? YOU KNOW IT’S DISRESPECTING? HOW DARE YOU!” I yelled

“Zineriah” I heard Ash’s voice from behind, still calm but about to cry

“I-I’m s-sorry, I didn’t mean t-to.. to yell” I said calmy

“WOW! That’s the surprise, I didn’t know that the Princess has a little lion side, is she really a fairy? HAHAHA” Orion said that pissed me off

I held Ash’s hand so I wouldn’t explode again. Ash is the only fairy that can calm me down, since she’s my best friend and the only fairy that can understand me. “I’m sorry your highness, I didn’t mean to yell and explode, it’s just that I’m so surprise. Surprise about the engagement that no one fvcking told me.” I said, calmly

“Release the Princess’s hand, and go far away from the Princ---” I cut of Orion

“Don’t tell her to back off because she’s an important part and her presence is important in this event.” I sneered before sitting down

“How come a maid is important? I guess the Princess is really going crazy, I don’t think I can marry such thing.” He said that made me smile

“The feeling is mutual Prince Orion” I said and saw how the Queen changed her emotions

“Don’t mind Princess Zineriah, she didn’t mean it” my mother tried to cover up

“No, I definitely mean it your Majesty. Anyways, it was a nice lunch, thank you so much everyone but I didn’t really enjoyed it. It’s not so nice to meet you Prince Orion, I won’t see you so soon.” I said, before standing up

“Let’s go Ash, we’re leaving” I said and smiled at Ash

“I’m sorry Princess but you’re not leaving” one of our castle guards blocked my path “Get out of my way or else.” I said, threatening him “I’m sorry your majesty but I really can’t, it’s an order from the Queen. Of course, she wouldn’t let me leave.

“No one is leaving Princess Zineriah” I heard the Queen from behind “You have to hurt and defeat someone before leaving” she added, she knew how much I hate violence so she’s using that.

I want to use my magic, but I’m thinking about Ash “Bae, please go back home” I pleased Ash “But Zine” I saw her eyes pleasing me to stop “Just go, I’m sorry” I said that left her confused

I raised my hand and waved my hand I saw how shocked she was realizing what I’m going to do, but she can’t say a word, she can’t even get out of her place, but she looked at me pleasing me to stop whatever I’m planning to do. “With my spell, you’ll be gone here. Go back home and never leave, until I break it, or I die, you’ll always be there, and if you try to escape, my spell will put you ill.” I chanted and hugged her before sending her back home “I’ll be there with you” I signaled her.

[AUTHOR’S POV]

Ash can’t believe she sent her away from the castle and cursed her not to leave, her--- their house. She was about to leave but a barrier blocked her, and she felt a sharp pain inside her chest, like she’s feeling weak. She moved away from the door and that’s just when she realized that it’s Zineriah’s curse taking effect. Meanwhile back in the castle everything is starting to be a mess, the Princess versus her mother the Queen, Prince and King from other kingdoms, her magic is strong but is it strong enough to defeat three enemies that have such strong powers as her. She was struggling but managed to make one of them fall asleep, the King, father of Prince Orion.

“Zineriah stop this at once!” her mother told her still trying to take control of the situation.

“Stop asking me to stop, you made me mad!” Zineriah answered her “I will only stop in one condition, you will break this engagement and let me live off the life that I wanted” she added

“BREAK THE ENGAGEMENT? ARE YOU INSANE!” her mother yelled at her “YOU NEED PRINCE ORION AND THEY CAN HELP YOU, THEY CAN HELP US BUILD THIS KINGDOM!” she added

“First of all, you didn’t ask for my permission on this engagement, second, I don’t need such Prince to save me or this Kingdom, I can do it on my own and third, I don’t want to leave like this anymore!” Zineriah yelled and their magic fight grew strong

“Take her power out and sealed it in an empire, she won’t be able to retrieve it unless she learned on how to control it. But left some, for her heart can’t beat without it” Zineriah chanted “I’m sorry mother but I need to do it” I added but then a light shine in front of me

“Taking a Queen’s power is a mistake, for your heartbeat will be at risk” Zineriah heard that left her confused

“Who are you?” she asked out of confusion “Fairy god?” she added as a question

“Yes, you’re right, it’s me, and I needed to talk to you about something” she answered

“Talk to me about what? I didn’t mean to hurt the Queen or anybody, but as a Princess I can see the kingdom’s at risk for she only cared about herself” Zineriah answered politely

“I know, I’ve seen it all” the Fairy Godmother told her

“Don’t run and escape as you’ll help the Princess retrieve peace for the kingdom you have” the Godmother said that left her speechless, who is she talking too?

“PRINCE ORION!” the Godmother yelled “You will help the Princess cross in the mortal world. You will stay until I say, for you to find the first Queen and bring her back when I say.” She added.

“You want us to find the cursed Queen? Why and how?” Zineriah ask

“It’s an impossible task Fairy Godmother” Orion added

“Finding the cursed Queen is gonna be hard, but you have to do it, complete this task for your reward is waiting for the both of you!” the godmother said

“Okay, but I want Ash to come with me, as I can’t control myself without her” Zineriah said

“Oh, it’s you who needs to free her, or she’ll die if try” she said, oh my god, the curse on Ash I forgot, Zineriah said in her mind

“I will be back so soon; I will just get Ash, and we will leave together” Zineriah said

[BACK TO ZINERIAH’S POV]

After hearing the Fairy Godmothers word, I rushed to cast a spell for me to go back home quickly, cause I know she needs me and she keeps on trying to get out.

“Let her out for my spell to be gone, since I chanted it for her to be safe” I chanted to break that spell within her, I saw how happy she was but at the same time mad.

“HOW COULD YOU” she said crying

“I’m sorry, you know I love you and I can’t let you get hurt” I answered her “But that’s not what I’ve come home for, yeah I came home for you, but I need your help, we need to travel and go to the mortal world” I added

“What? You know you can’t” she said

“The Godmother assign and unfortunately Prince Orion to look for the Cursed Queen, Queen Enchantra” I said

“LOOK FOR THE CURSED QUEEN?” she yelled out of confusion and excitement

“Yea, so will you help me, and please stop yelling you’re making me deaf” I sneered “So? Are you coming?” I added

“Of course, girll, when are we leaving?” she asked excited

“We need to leave very soon”

After our small talk, we prepared everything that we needed to live and survive in the mortal world. We need to leave after I fix everything I need to fix. After night fell, I went back to the castle with Ash and the Prince, again I waved my hand and chanted to clean up the mess and fix the King and Queen.

“Everything that was broken please be fix, for this mess will attract so many rumors. Fix the kingdom and let the King and Queen be seen and awoken, for both of them to be under a spell, and will only spread love and fairness for all” I chanted and saw how everything was put back into place, after that I asked the Prince to sleep in our house since we need to leave early in the morning, that’s the first thing we need to do in the morning is prepare for our journey and learn how we’ll fit in and what our new identity should be.
