Chapter 7 — WHO IS WHO?

“But who would do such thing ate?” I repeatedly asked her

“I don’t know, okay? But for now, beware of the peoples you choose to trust, who knew one of them might be the traitor” she said, she’s right, the fairies sent to the mortal world to do such task is chosen. It’s me, Ash, Orion, the cursed queen herself and some other fairy dudes. The only thing I’m wondering right now is, ate Cy’s house if full of magic, always activated for peoples to seen only the house and not the persons—fairies in them. Gosh what am I thinking, why am I doubting ate Cy? Maybe I’m just a bit paranoid.

“What are you thinking?” she asked me

“Uh, nothing, still just processing everything” I answered her

“Ohh, okay, your kuya and I are leaving, if you go hungry there are foods in the refrigerator.” She said “We’re gonna enroll the three of you in a university so you can live normally while looking for her.” She added, I nod as an answer

“Okay sis! Take care” I yelled when I saw her getting inside the car

After she left, I practiced some enchanta, with the flower vase. I tried to make it float, disappear and ever practice making it appear in different places. I didn’t notice Orion was watching me from the kitchen, I just noticed him when I saw heard him chuckle.

“You’re the one that’s gonna kill e, I swear” I said and both of us laughed

“Come here, let’s eat, I prepared some snacks” he said smiling at me softly, the reason my hand became weak, and I dropped the vase “You’re silly, aren’t you? Here let me help.” He said before closing his eyes, I looked at the broken vase and with just at instant it’s FIXED? Wow, he really has lots of surprises.

“Come here already, baka matunaw ako since you’ve been staring at me” he said

“Yeah, coming” I said, “How’s Ash?” I asked while walking

“She’s upstairs sleeping, but she’s already calm” he answered me

“Good thing she’d be able to rest. You? How are you?” I asked him

“Recte valeo, aliquantulum quievi, sed non satis esse puto” (I’m fine, I’ve gotten some rest, but I don’t think it’s enough) he answered me in Latin

“Enough with the Latin Orion” I said “I’m not in the mood” I added

“HAHAHA, sorry” he said, and he suddenly knocked out the just

“What the- you’re so clumsy” I said and got some cloth to wipe it off “Here” I said handing him the cloth.

“Thank you” he smiled again, gosh I’m gonna fall for him soon with those smiles.

“I’ll just be upstairs, I’m kinda tired and sleepy” I said “Just call me if you need something” I added

I went upstairs like I said, I laid down and closed my eyes, but before finally resting someone knocked on my door “Sis” I heard a call, I looked at the door but no one’s there

“Ate” the voice keep on echoing that scared me

“ORION!” I yelled I saw Orion rushing up after he heard me yell

“What happened?” he asked worried

“Someone’s calling me from the basement Orion, I think it’s Ash” I said

“How could it be Ash? Ash is in her room sleeping” he said, still? “It’s already dark outside, maybe it’s just a nightmare” he added

“What? Dark outside?” I asked confused “Have they arrive” I ask and saw him turned his head, what? It’s already dark yet they still haven’t returned yet, how come? I asked my self when I heard the voice again. “ATE!” it’s a yell already not the calm voice I’m used to.

“Orion let’s go” I said and saw him being confused “Down the basement! I swear I heard Ash” I said panicking. I saw how he ran down the basement, when we arrived, I saw Ash tied in a chair, she has so many bruises and she’s so weak.

“Ate’s here” I said trying to calm her “What happened?” I asked worried

“S-someone else is here not just us” she whispered “She’s here” she added that left both of us confused

“Orion help me, let’s take her upstairs to rest.” I said “I’ll add a bed in my room so she can rest with me” I added

“I’ll cook some foods, please carry her to my room” I plead

“Sure” he just smiled at me

I heard Orion call me upstairs, so I rushed up.

“Why?” I asked him

“The bed Zine” he answered “I think you forgot about it” he added

‘Yeah, I totally blacked out” I said after closing my eyes for a bit I opened them and chanted “Una cama para que repose junto a mi, en seguridad y calma” I chanted and after that a bed appeared in beside my bed

“I’ll go already; I’m already cooking something” I said

“Oh sure, I’ll be with you shortly” he answered I just smiled and nod at him as a response

Like I said I went down, gosh a day here is equivalent as a month at our kingdom. I want it to be tomorrow already, but I can’t control the time here. I just finished cooking it’s 7;00 according to the clock here.

“What are you thinking? It seems so deep.” I heard Orion asked

“I’m just thinking about why the couples haven’t returned yet. It’s already late” I answered him “You? What took you so long to get down?” I added

“Well, Ash seemed to have a nightmare, so I waited for all of you” he said and smiled at me “Hmm, that smells so yummy” he added

“It’s actually Ash’s favorite food, so that’s why I studied it at our kingdom and good thing I brought some ingredients before we left” I said

After I answered him, I went back to cooking but I suddenly collapse when I felt a migraine no vibrations in my head, seems like someone’s trying to connect with me, I tried to be calm but it’s kinda taking me and my strength, so I collapsed, but before fully shutting my eyes I saw Orion, he’s worried. I just smiled at him even if I was too weak, I just want to assure him everything is fine.

[AUTHORS POV]

Zineriah collapse and Orion doesn’t know what to do. But, when he came to his senses, he immediately picked Zine up to bring in her room with Ash, both of the girls accompanying him is now unconscious, the one is in control while the other one she’s unconscious because of migraine or a call. He’s getting worried, he even tried to use all enchantments he knows. He was already going crazy but then like Zineriah he remembered the spell Cy used in curing him, the same spell Zineriah used to cure Ash. He tried so hard to remember it and when he did, he chanted.

“Despierta, alma dormida, rompe las cadenas, vuelve a la luz, recupera tu fuerza y sal de ester letargo” (Awaken, sleeping soul, break the chains, return to the light, regain your strength and snap out of it) he repeated the incantation, after that he was shocked to see Ash and Zineriah standing, he’s so shock that he even yelled that led for the two to also shout.

“Qué pasó? ¿Por qué estás gritando? Pareces haber visto un fantasma”(What happened? Why are you yelling? You look like you've seen a ghost.) Zireniah asked out of confusion because Orion yelled when he saw them standing up.

“Good thing you’re awake” he started that made both of the girls confused

“Awake? We’re not asleep Orion” Zineriah said “You must be dreaming, it’s just tiredness Orion, bruhh we just been staying here for just a day but you’re already going crazy” she added

“Trust me, you’re asleep, you had a migraine or called connection while you were cooking that’s why you suddenly fell down, so I carried you up here to rest with Ash since both of you are unconscious.” Orion said “What the f is with this house? There is something going on here, I think we need to go.” He added

“What? Hell no, we can’t” Zineriah said “We can’t leave without telling the couples and besides we don’t know much about the mortal world” she added

“Think about it, they still haven’t come back and it’s already dark. They know we’re new in the mortal world yet seems like they didn’t care!” Orion said explaining, after Orion finished talking, they heard a clap from the kitchen that sent shivers down around their spines, we all got down and what we saw or should I say, who we saw left us all speechless.

[Zineriah’s pov]

We were scared and shock when Orion suddenly yelled the moment, he saw us standup I asked him out of confusion and his answers made me more confused.

“Qué pasó? ¿Por qué estás gritando? Pareces haber visto un fantasma” (What happened? Why are you yelling? You look like you've seen a ghost.) I asked him when he yelled

“Good thing you’re awake” he started that made me and Ash shock

“What? Hell no, we can’t” I said “We can’t leave without telling the couples and besides we don’t know much about the mortal world” I added getting mad

“Think about it, they still haven’t come back and it’s already dark. They know we’re new in the mortal world yet seems like they didn’t care!” Orion said explaining, after Orion finished talking, they heard a clap from the kitchen that sent shivers down around their spines, we all got down and what we saw or should I say, who we saw left us all speechless.

We all rushed down to the kitchen and saw kuya Caspian there, we’re at ease for a moment but when I saw his smile, I felt creeped out again. I held Orion’s hand tight to make him feel my fear. He looked at me and assured me he’ll protect me, he clapped again and smiled, looking at me directly in the eyes, before standing up and slowly walking towards us.

“It’s been so many years. I waited for so many years just to meet you your highness HAHAHA” he said laughing crazily

“What are you talking about” Orion asked him, hiding me and Ash behind his back

“Zineriah is the destined Princess and Orion, the fiancée destined to marry each other, to develop feelings. Was sent together to find the lost cursed Queen” he started “You see, a long time ago, the Queen cursed a Princess and within the next three months, the Princess would die if they wouldn’t touch each other” he added

“So, you agreed to take us in to use me?” I said getting mad “How could you! I thought you and ate Cy are genuine” I added

“Cy is really genuine to help you because she’s contended with her life her” he started talking again “But I’m not, I want a better life for me and my family” he continued

“If you want a better life then why not work like a normal person, assh*le” Orion said trying to control his anger

“Think I didn’t tried that? I already did kid” he said I can sense sadness in his voice “But, with your help I can upgrade our fairy status, we can move up from guardian to gods” he added

“Do you think you can outsmart us with your dirty games” Orion said, starting to heat up “I already smelled and sense a dark aura in this house when we first arrived that’s why I used my knowledge to watch someone, whoever is who and that’s when you came to my attention, I saw you practicing a spell, spell for controlling minds and action that’s why I asked ate Cy if she knew how to cure it if ever someone or something happened and just like I expected” he stopped for a moment “You first tried to use it on me, and on them” he continued stating everything.

“You’re good at simple observation kid, but do you think it’s enough to defeat me and stop me from doing something I want to do” he asked mocking and belittling Orion’s magic and strength.

“Where is ate Cy and Chantal?’ I asked him

“In somewhere far away HAHAHA” he said laughing like trying to make me mad “Goodluck in finding them but hurry up because I can and will kill them once I get bored” he added, how could he sacrifice the lives of two important persons in his life just for power.

We’re all in a panic and we’re doing everything we can to find them, we can’t risk their life for our mission they are one of the most important aspects and persons in the fairy world, and if something happened to them specially Chantal, the fairy world will be a mess. I don’t know what to do, that’s until I heard Orion casting a spell in Latin.

“Inveni animam amissam, duc nos ad eos nam pacem omnium in periculo erit.” (Find the lost soul, lead us to them for everyones peace will be at risk) he chanted, how does he know that not finding them will lead to a war? “I KNOW WHERE THEY ARE” he yelled that made me and Ash jump after getting back to my senses I speak

“Let’s go, we can’t waste any time, it’s the whole fairy world and the mortal worlds risk we’re talking about” I saw both of them nod, so we started preparing everything needed.

“Why is the mortal world gonna be affected by the death of the Guardian if ever?” Ash asked

"Well, ate Cy is the Guardian assigned to keep everything at peace, she’s assigned in balancing everything so losing is means the whole world, mortal and magical to fall and be at risk” I said explaining everything to her

“I thought she just guards the mortals avoid discovering us, because you know she’s the Guardian Mortal” she said that made me laugh

“You’re so silly but you’re correct” I said and let out a soft chuckle “She’s in charge to make sure that the mortals or ordinary peoples wouldn’t discover us or the passage that can lead them to the fairy world.” I added and helped her finish getting ready, as I finished helping her Orion suddenly barged in and ask if we’re ready we just nod as a response. He entered the room and since I’m the one skilled in using magic to travel or go to a place, I started casting a spell to help us reach our destination easier.
