Flirting With Death.

Chapter 8

He stared at me for a while, put the food on Spiders laps and took out the keys from his left pocket.

He unlocked the handcuffs and said, "You can eat now." Spider handed the food over to me and I started eating.

EM left us alone. "You are invited". I told Spider. "Thanks." He replied.

"Mmmm, it is really delicious, wont you like some." I asked, trying to put some of the noodles in his mouth but he turned away.

"Well, I'm full." He got up.

"You seem really nice unlike the EM, you are so friendly. I like it." He turned to look at my face.

Suddenly my mood changed. I began to miss home again.

I really miss home. I miss my mom, my dad, my nanny, my brother, my big mansion and luxurious room, I just miss everything.

I put the food on the chair and bowed my head slowly, tears began to flow. Spider looked at me.

"Hey, why are you crying? What is wrong? What is the matter with you? Are you okay?"

Spider would not stop asking me questions. he took the food on the chair and sat by me.

"Tell me what is wrong with you." He held my chin and raised my head up slowly.

I cleaned the tears and said, "If you help me escape, I will pay you twice the amount paid to the EM."

"I don't trust that. Just stop crying ok, we will talk about this later. Please eat your food before the EM gets back otherwise he wont spare us both." He gave the food to me.

"I have lost my appetite. I cant eat again. Please take the food away." I gave the food back to him.

"Hey girl, you better stop shedding tears and have your meal." He gave the food back again.

"Should I feed you?" He asked softly, taking the fork on the plate.

"No, Im really not hungry." I looked into his eyes.

I saw his eyes teary and I felt something towards him. "Please remove your face mask, then I'll eat." I pleaded.

"No! I'm not doing that. It's either you eat or I report you to the EM." He held the food to my mouth.

"I said I'm not hungry, can't you hear me?" I said rudely but he didnt say a word.

"Sorry for being rude." The tears were uncontrollable, the kept falling.

"When youre done, I'll let you see my face, go on and eat." I took the noodles on the fork.

"So you will let me see your face when I'm done?" I asked him whiles there was food in my mouth.

"Yes, I will." He said, feeding me.

"Promise me that you will let me see your face." I smiled at him.

"Okay, I promise." He promised.

"And promise me that you will help me escape from this place too."

"We will talk about everything the moment you finish your meal."

Upon hearing those promises, I took the fork from spider and started eating the food hurriedly.

"Hey, take your time, do you want to get chocked by the food? He asked worriedly and held my hand. I raised my head up to look at him.

There was too much food in my mouth, I couldnt say a word to him, he kept staring at me and I did same.

It felt weird but we kept staring at each other. I removed my wrist from his palm and continued to eat. He saw me blushing.

"Done." I left the fork on the empty plate and looked at him.

"Good girl." He said, taking the plate from me. "The wine." He looked at the red wine on the tray.

He got up and took the tray from me. "Take this." He gave me the wine.

He is such a gentleman.

He put the tray on a coffee table beside him and sat next to me again.

"Can we talk now?" I sipped the red wine.

"Sure." He signed heavily and fixed his eyes on me.

"So where do we start from?" I asked, still sipping.

"The escape!" he answered

"No, your real face." I objected.

"Okay, fine, I will show you my face. But you will also have to promise never to tell anyone about this." He pointed at me.

"Yes, I wont tell anyone about it i swear."

"Pinky swear?" He brought his little finger, I aslo brought mine and we both pinky swore.

He then started to remove the black face mask. I was so excited, I was eager to see the face of that gentleman who has been nice to me all this while.

He removed it gently, first revealing a pointed chin, then a pointed nose, nice eyelashes and eyebrows for a guy, and short brown hair.

His eyes were closed when he was taking the mask off. Right after removing it, he opened his wide teary eyes and smiled at me.

His teeth were very white, his lips were pink and soft. His face looked really innocent especially his smile.

I sat there staring lovingly at him.

"Hey!!" He shouted to stop me from daydreaming and it was successful.

"You are nice, I mean you are very handsome. You have an innocent face too. So why are you here with the EM?

"To help you." He answered.

"I dont understand." I gave him a puzzled face.

"I want to help you escape, and dont ask me any question anymore, I will tell you how we will plan everything. Is that okay?"

I nodded in agreement.

Just as he was about to start talking, he quickly put the face mask on again.

I wondered why he did that and I realized that someone was coming downstairs.

It was one of the other accomplices

"EM needs you upstairs." He said with a heavy voice.

Spider got up and carried and plate along.

"Bye, Spider." I said, waving at him.

He turned to look at me whiles walking away.
