Kate's pov:
As soon as the door shut behind him, I get up and move towards a door I suspect must lead to the bathroom. When I open the door, I am met with my own reflection. In the mirror above the sink, I now notice my dark hair is a mess, and my mascara and lipstick are smudged all over my face. I reach my hand up to my collarbone and run my fingers over the small purple marks. I can't believe he did that, they're all over my throat, shoulders, and collarbone.
I wash my face and try to get my hair in order, while trying to ignore the many marks, that I can't really do much about anyway. After finishing my business, I walk back out and gather my scattered clothes from the floor.
As I am pulling up my dress, I hear the door open behind me. A moment later I feel a pair of hands grab my hips, move up my body, and help me close my dress.
"I can't go out like this," I complain, gesturing to my neck. I can feel his body vibrate with laughter behind me.
"I'm serious! It's bad enough that I have to do the walk of shame out of here, but also being covered in bruises is so much worse." I turn around and glare at him.
"Has anyone ever told you, that you look cute when you're angry?" He chuckles, then he walks over to a dresser.
"But if you insist, you can wear this over your dress," he says as he hands me a black sweatshirt. "It might not cover all of them, but at least your entire front won't be exposed."
"Thanks," I mumble as I pull the enormous sweatshirt over my head.
I watch him as he takes off his cut, places it gently on a chair only to put on a sweatshirt and put the cut back on again. I wonder what it is about that leather vest that is so damn sexy. If it's the pride he shows in wearing it or if it just is sexy in itself. Or maybe it's just him that looks sexy wearing whatever.
"Besides, it's not really a walk of shame when you've spent the night with the prez."
"Maybe not, but I've never done this before," I confess. Why would I say that? I'm so embarrassing.
"Me neither." That caught my attention. I never would have guessed.
"But if it'd make you feel better, I can sneak you out the back. On two conditions though." He says with a smirk on his face.
"What conditions?"
"You let me drive you home, and you go on a date with me tonight."
"I guess that sounds okay, except I don't even know your name," I mumble. I actually wouldn't mind going on a date with him. He's nothing like the guys I usually go out with. But maybe that's a good thing, right? I mean they've all been pretentious good guys that turned out to be jerks. Maybe I need a bad guy. Besides he's not only really good looking he's also the most gallant guy I've ever met.
"I'm the Devil, but you can call me Axel or anything you’d like." He says with a wink. "And you?"
"My name is Katerina, but I prefer Kate."
"Great. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, you ready to go?" I nod as I put on my shoes and throw my bag over my shoulder. He grabs my hand and leads me out the door.
Walking down the hallway hand in hand, I can't help but feel warm inside. I also hope that no one comes out of any of the many doors we pass.
When we get to the ground floor, he stops and lets go of my hand.
"If you wait here, I just have to talk to someone real quick," he says walking towards what looks like a kitchen.
"Are you lost babygirl?" A deep raspy voice says from behind me, making me jump. I turn around and am met with the sight of probably the biggest bald guy I've ever seen.
"N-No, I uhm I'm j-just.." I'm not sure if the giant would kill me, but he definitely could, if he wanted to. But right now he is laughing while running his hand through his long red beard.
"Leave her alone, Savage." Axel interrupts, taking my hand again. He then leads me past the beast called Savage and down the hallway out a door and towards his bike. He grabs a helmet and helps me put it on.
"It suits you" he winks.
He then gets on the bike and pats the seat behind him. "Get your sexy ass up here already."
The ride home is exhilarating. With the wind in my hair and my arms tightly around Axel. I can't help but laugh uncontrollably and sincerely.
