I FELL FOR A PRINCE

Chapter six

I woke up to the loud buzzing of my phone. What the heck. Isn't it too early to send a text to someone.

After sitting up on my bed and staring into space for five minutes thinking about my life, I picked up my phone to look at the message that woke me up.

I opened my phone and saw that it was an email, I clicked it and it opened, the message read "Dear Camila Andre, you have been offered a job as a cleaner/housekeeper in the Denmark castle.You are to resume work today by 11am. Thank you.

I was overjoyed, excited, happy, I can't even explain the emotions I feel right now.

Wait the email says I should resume by 11am, I looked at the time, s**t, the time was 10:26am, how did I sleep this much.

I quickly took my bath and dressed up. I ran downstairs, while running, I saw dad he tried calling me but I just greeted while running and went out of the door.

I was lucky to find taxi as soon as I left the house. I told him where to take me, then we left the house.

I got there in a few minutes, I showed the security men my ID and they let me in.

I went to the place where I was interviewed last time, I saw a familiar face.... I was trying to remember her name........ Yessss her name was Vivian. Wow looks like we were both offered jobs.

I touched her arm gently, then she turned to look at me she smiled "You're here too?" she asked "Yeah,I guess we're destined to work together" I said and both of us laughed.

We stood there for some minutes. Then a young girl in a maid uniform came and told us to come in. When we got in we saw the same woman that interviewed us last time.

She cleared her throat and looked at us seriously " My name is Mariam, I am the chief of staffs here, You're welcome to Denmark castle, you both were selected out of the multitude of people that came for the interview because you girls stood out, and I would like for you to continue standing out while you're working here".

"I like that you girls are punctual keep it up, you both are assigned to the dinning room for a start, when I see your diligence and effort to the work I would reassign you girls to other places".

"Now some rules of the castle

Number one:Be punctual, number two: Do not in anyway disrespect anyone here even down to your colleagues here, number three: You must not enter the east side of the castle or else you are assigned there. Those will be the rules for now I will inform you of any other information later".

"Okay ma'am" I and Vivian chorused.

"Now get to work, the Royal family has eaten so you just have to take the dishes back to the kitchen and wash them" She ordered us.

We asked for direction to the dinning room and we were directed there.

When we got there we carried all the dishes to the kitchen and proceeded to start working.

I heard someone cleared her throat bhind us and I turned so did Vivian "Oh I see that ma'am Mariam has brought new intakes, that's nice it means lesser work for me" a blonde girl said, I and vivian looked at each other and looked back at the girl.

"I'm sure ma'am Mariam has given you the rules here, so I will give mine" she walked close to us and said "My name is Trisha and I would love you to stay away from the prince.... he's mine so stay clear from him... Do you understand?". she warned and asked us.

"Yes ma'am" we chimed.

Then she left, we looked at each other and started laughing, "My name is Trisha and I would like you to stay away from the prince, he's mine" Vivian tried to imitate Trisha, we both burst out laughing again.

After we were done laughing and making jest of Trisha, we continued washing the dishes and talked about ourselves to each other.

It turns out that Vivian was pregnant and was chased out of her house that was why she was working here to earn money to take care of her and her baby, she also said that the father of the baby ran away as soon as he heard that she was pregnant.

No one would have known what she was going through, because She looked so happy, I felt so bad for her. I don't know why but I felt like protecting her.

I asked her if she told ma'am Mariam and she said she did so I felt a bit settled, at least she can work a bit, I prayed we would always be together so I can help her sometimes.

I also told her about myself, how I was regarded as nothing to Damien and cheated on, how I lost both my job and my virginity to a stranger on the same day, we both sympathized with each other.

We finished in the kitchen and went and told ma'am Mariam that we were through she told me that I can go back home, cause Vivian was given a small room in the castle to stay in.

I bade Vivian good-bye and headed home.

When I go home, I saw stepmother in the living room looking angry "And where do you think you're coming from, you little slut, I know you have been frolicking with those street hooligans and giving them your cheap self"

I looked at her bored "Look stepmother I don't care what you think but I went to my new place of work today and I am really stressed out, I need to rest"

"Really, I'm guessing it's a hotel job so you can have easy access to men you want to sleep with, am I right?" stepmother asked me

"If you were more knowledgeable you would know that being a prostitute is not the only way to earn a living, so please let me just go and rest please" I said to her

"Wow, so you now have the guts to insult me "She yelled as she raised her hands to hit me but I held her hands

I looked at her seriously this time "I said I would like to have my rest now, so you will seat your ass down and stop yelling like a Dog" I threw her hands away from myself and began walking upstairs.

"I see those men outside are giving you guts, don't worry when you dad comes I will tell him what you did" I heard her saying as I went up to my room.
