“Yes,” Allard replied. “At the end of this next trial if we decide we want her she will be asked to choose. Keep in mind, she has been made completely aware of what her life will be like if she says yes. Her decision will be an informed one and irrevocable. If she chooses to be free, we will look at other candidates. No harm will come to her from us.” He glanced at Frank who clenched his jaw and looked at the floor. “However,” Allard continued, “if she signs the contract, she will fulfill its terms.”
