“How could you be pregnant? You just met this guy”I questioned. “Well, we didn't use protection sometimes and this is the result.” She sighed. “You have to tell him first then you tell mom and dad," I suggested. My parents approved of the pregnancy. The alpha was so excited. He planned to make Stephanie his bride during the mating ceremony and my eighteenth birthday. Stephanie had assured me my penpal would be my mate if I actually felt the bond whenever he sent his letters then there is a connection. The moon goddess doesn't cheat. If we were fated to meet, he would be my mate. Stephanie moved in with the alpha. She carried some of her belongings. My parents wouldn't let her take it all so she would have to come visit more often. They were going to miss her alot.. I wished they could miss me the same way. I looked at the mirror as I headed for the royal house few months later. Stephanie was seven months gone. The entire pack awaits her delivery. I stepped into the compound and overheard the Alphas conversing. “So alpha James, what gender could it be?” Luke smiled, sipping from his wine. “Whatever it turns out to be, I will adore my cub. My Luna is already strong,” he replied, raising his glass with a smile across his face. I tiptoed past them. My sister was excited to see me. We would be spending the weekend together. “So what do you think about Alpha Luke? Steph asked. “Which alpha? I questioned. She rolled her eyes. I knew what she was up to. “I am not interested Steph, I gave a Stern look. “C'mon sis' ',she drew me closer. “It will be fun.both of us in this big mansion. I just want us to be close” she flicked her lashes. She was always manipulative. “Fine! I will consider it only if I don't get a mate.” I left for the washroom. I quickly took a quick glance at my outfit before going to join my sister in the kitchen. It was already evening.I helped with the dishes while she made dinner. Almost immediately, there was a loud noise coming from the entrance of the royal House. Stephanie shifted. She had a beautiful wolf with brown eyes. I followed her. It was obvious we were under attack by rogues!!. Alpha James runs in. His wolf was way bigger than Stephanie’s and mine. We followed him inside. “We are under attack,” he said. “Stay indoors' ', he signalled to us. Stephanie held his arm, “I am going with you”. “Stay here and protect your sis and my unborn cub. He sniffed her, growled and ran out. I couldn't panic. I wouldn't want my sister to feel guilty for inviting me over. I was worried about my parents. I made a wish to the moon goddess to keep them safe. I rested on a sofa. I noticed the pile of books. Whenever I get nervous, I read. Stephanie paced down the room peering through the key hole of the door in consecutive minutes. I picked a book. I noticed the other books in the pile were prose and dramas. I came across a billionaire story. It would be interesting, I suggested to myself. I picked it up, and a letter fell from it. It was from Clark. I smiled. My sis wasn't paying attention to me. I wanted to peek through a little. I opened it. After reading through the first six lines, I screamed. “What is wrong? Steph asked nervously. She noticed the letter that fell on the floor. I can explain, she cried as she tried to hold me. I pushed her arms away. “ Why would you do such a thing?” I yelled. “ Lily, I can explain everything. “How could you? Why would you deprive Clark the opportunity of his own child? Why would you pin it on the alpha? Why sis?” “He had told me earlier that I was pregnant. He noticed the body change. I refused.i didn't go for a checkup either. When I started dating alpha James, the signs became obvious. We had to go find a test. It was confirmed. The alpha wouldn't let me speak. I saw how happy and excited he was. I just couldn't tell him! “So when are you planning to tell him?” I asked, staring into her eyes. “ Sis, promise me, She held my hand into hers, “you will keep this a secret?” I withdraw my hand immediately. I ran out of the room. Promises made by werewolves were made with blood and cannot be broken. I wouldn't indulge in a promise I can't keep. I wonder what my sister is thinking. This would anger the moon goddess. I needed to clear my head. I withdrew my hand and walked out. I could hear her screaming my name. I had to leave the knife - edged environment. I rushed to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I needed to relax. I heard my sister screaming my name all over. I had to ignore it. It was all too much to handle. The thought of my parents crept through my mind. I heard my sister scream. I tried to rush out. My eyes turned red. My werewolf was becoming sensitive. I locked the kitchen door. I picked the crystal like a spear. I held the edge with a cloth. I picked a lighter. I hid at the back of the shelf. My heart was pounding. I could hear her scream the alpha’s name. I tried to reach out for my phone. We had left them in the living room before the attack. The noises and chaos was beginning to reduce. I rushed out. The rogues were out of sight. I ran to the living room screaming my sister's name. I saw my sister lying lifelessly in the pool of her own blood. Everywhere became blank and I closed my eyes. I opened my eyes to a slightly dimmed environment. I noticed the man on white. I managed to sit up. I realized I was in the hospital. “Where is Steph?” I shouted. My mom burst into tears. My dad tried consoling my mom and I. The thought of my sister in the pool of her blood flashed through my head. “ My sister can't be dead!” I held the doctor, “ please get my sister!” He consoled me while trying to free himself from my grip. My dad tried to console us while containing his own tears. Few days later, I was discharged. The town looked isolated. The future Luna was gone. I laid on my bed helplessly. I won't be going out for a while. I picked my laptop and had a glimpse. The pack news had been updated, the alpha had declared the thirteenth of November every Year in the pack as a public holiday in honor of my sister. Alpha Luke was undergoing treatment. He was severely injured. If Stephanie was alive she would have advised us to go see him. I just prayed he would recover fully. I know what the Alpha might be thinking about me right now. I felt so guilty. I wished I had died instead. I had caused my sister's death. Why Stephanie? I rhetorically questioned. Tears dropped from my eyes as I thought about my sister. I needed to retrieve the letter from the Alpha's place. I wouldn't want him to find out. He was going through enough pains already. I wonder why I always feel for him. Probably because he is an introvert and also very reserved. “Hi mom, can I join you?” I asked. I overheard them talking about going to see the alpha. My mom nodded. I rushed to get my jacket. The drive was silent. We all stared into the dry Streets. People were revamping their muddled apartments that had been demolished during the rogue's attacks. On reaching the royal house, my parents were ushered inside. I sneaked into my sister's room. I rummaged through the books and found two of Clark's letters. I quickly searched the room and found three others. I put them in my bag and rushed out. I met them at the balcony. Alpha James gave me a disgusting look. I briskly walked to the car. My parents joined me some minutes later. Immediately we got home I set the papers ablaze in my room. I threw the ashes and the container out through the window. “ Lily! Lily! Come downstairs now,” my mom yelled. I rushed down to alert them that I wasn't interested in dinner. “Why did you kill your sister?” My mom shouted.
