"What did you just say? You want a divorce?" I asked, my voice shaking, eyes wide with shock as the words echoed in my head. I couldn’t believe what I just heard from Liam. Was this a joke?
"Liam, what is wrong with you? If you have a problem, talk to me about it. For the past few days, I don't understand what is going on with you," I said, lashing out, unable to hold it in any longer. I was confused. Everything felt like it was crumbling right in front of me. But Liam just sat there, quiet, not offering a single word. His silence was louder than any scream I could hear.
"Is this about what happened last night? Because I stopped you from leaving?" I asked again, trying to dig for answers, hoping I could understand what triggered this sudden decision.
