Sarah sat in the rented room in Sydney where she and the boys had been compelled to stay until a ship was ready to sail to Hobart Town. It pained them all to look at the HM Brig Kangaroo at dock each day with no word of if, or when, she would sail. They’d been removed from the brig the morning they thought they were leaving.
