Media Frenzy

1405 Words
The KMC fashion house was in an uproar. Reporters swarmed the entrance, their cameras and microphones at the ready. The sound of shouted questions and clicking cameras filled the air, creating a chaotic din. Inside, the employees were on edge, trying to navigate the media frenzy. Phones rang nonstop, and the sound of panicked voices echoed through the halls. Just as it seemed like the chaos couldn't get any worse, a sleek black car pulled up abruptly in front of the company. Kim Minho stepped out, his lawyer, Liam, by his side. The reporters erupted into a frenzy, bombarding Minho with questions. "Mr. Kim, how do you respond to allegations of color blindness?" "Can you explain how you've managed to lead KMC despite your condition?" "Do you plan to step down as CEO?" Minho's expression remained calm, but his eyes flashed with annoyance. Liam intervened, holding up his hands to quiet the crowd. "We'll make a statement shortly," he said, his voice firm. "Until then, we have no comment." As the reporters continued to shout questions, Minho and Liam pushed through the crowd, making their way into the building. The doors closed behind them, shutting out the chaos, but the storm was far from over... As they stepped into the building, Minho's assistant, Sophie Kim, greeted them with a worried expression. "Seon-saeng-nim, the board of directors is waiting for you in the conference room," she said, her voice tight with anxiety. Minho nodded curtly, his eyes scanning the lobby. The employees were all staring at him, their faces filled with a mix of curiosity and concern. Liam fell into step beside Minho, his voice low. "We need to get ahead of this story, Mr Kim. We can't let the media define the narrative." Minho's expression remained calm, but his eyes flashed with anger. "I know what I'm doing, Liam," he said, his voice cold. As they approached the conference room, the door burst open and a tall, imposing figure stepped out. It was Jae-Ho Lee, the chairman of the board. "Minho-ssi, we need to talk," Jae-Ho said, his voice firm. "This color blindness scandal is going to destroy the company's reputation. We need to take action." Minho's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched. "I've heard enough," he said, his voice low and menacing. "I'll hold a press conference to address these allegations. And I'll make one thing clear: they're all false." Jae-Ho's expression faltered, his eyes darting to Liam before returning to Minho. "Minho-ssi, are you sure that's wise?" he asked, his voice cautious. Minho's dominant aura filled the room, his presence commanding attention. "I don't pay you to question my decisions, Jae-Ho-ssi," he said, his voice icy. "I pay you to support me. And that's exactly what you'll do." The room fell silent, the tension palpable. Minho's eyes never wavered, his gaze piercing. He was a man who would not be pushed around, a man who would fight to the end to protect his reputation and his company... The board meeting lasted for thirty minutes, the tension palpable as Minho laid out his plan to address the allegations. His attorney, Liam, and the PR team nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination. As the meeting adjourned, Minho stood up, his eyes scanning the room. "Let's get to work," he said, his voice firm. The team sprang into action, their footsteps echoing down the hallway as they rushed to set up the stage for the press conference. Minho watched them go, his eyes narrowing as he turned to Liam. "Make sure everything is perfect," he said, his voice low and menacing. "I don't want any mistakes." Liam nodded, his face set with a serious expression. "I'll personally oversee the setup, Mr Kim" he said. Minho's eyes flashed with approval, and he nodded curtly. "Good," he said. As Liam hurried off to join the setup team, Minho turned to Sophie, his assistant. "Get me the latest updates on the media coverage," he said, his voice firm. Sophie nodded, her eyes wide with concern. "Yes, seon-saeng-nim," she said, her voice trembling slightly. Minho's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing. "And Sophie?" he said, his voice low. "Yes, seon-saeng-nim?" Sophie replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Minho's eyes flashed with warning. "Don't believe everything you hear," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "The truth is not always what it seems." Sophie's eyes widened, her face pale. She nodded hastily, her eyes darting away from Minho's intense gaze... ****** The lights blazed down on the stage, casting a harsh glare over the crowded room. The air was thick with tension, the reporters and camera crews all vying for position. Minho stepped up to the microphone, his eyes scanning the room with a piercing gaze. He was flanked by Liam and Sophie, their faces set with determined expressions. The room fell silent, the only sound the soft hum of the cameras and the rustle of papers being shuffled. Minho's eyes locked onto the crowd, his voice ringing out across the room. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining me today," he said, his voice firm and commanding. "I'm sure you're all aware of the allegations that have been made against me. Allegations that I am color blind, and therefore unfit to lead KMC." The room erupted into a chorus of shouted questions, the reporters all vying for attention. Minho's eyes flashed with anger, but he raised his hands, his voice cutting through the din. "I will answer your questions, but first, let me set the record straight," he said, his voice firm. "The allegations against me are false. I am not color blind, and I am fully capable of leading KMC." The room fell silent once more, the reporters all staring at Minho with a mixture of shock and skepticism. Minho's eyes locked onto the crowd, his gaze piercing. "I challenge anyone to provide evidence to the contrary," he said, his voice dripping with defiance. "I am confident that I will be vindicated, and that KMC will continue to thrive under my leadership." The room erupted into chaos once more, the reporters all shouting questions and demanding answers. Minho's eyes flashed with anger, but he stood tall, his gaze never wavering... ****** At the other end of the city, in the sleek, modern offices of Vandal Vogue, Kai Lee, the CEO, sat in his chair, his eyes glued to the TV screen. He was watching the press conference, a sly smile spreading across his face. As Minho denied the allegations, Kai's smile grew wider. He laughed softly to himself, his eyes gleaming with interest. "Minho's got spirit, I'll give him that," he said to himself. Kai's assistant, Ji-Hyun, entered the room, a curious expression on her face. "Sir, what's going on?" she asked, nodding towards the TV. Kai's smile faded, and he turned to Ji-Hyun. "Just Minho's little drama," he said, his voice neutral. "I'm sure it'll all blow over soon." Ji-Hyun nodded, but her eyes lingered on the TV screen, where Minho was still speaking. Kai's eyes followed hers, his expression thoughtful... At a far end of the city, Zara sat in her scattered apartment, her phone clutched in her hand as she watched Minho's press conference with Ji Yoon. "I'm telling you, Ji, this guy is my new boss," Zara said, her eyes wide with excitement. Ji Yoon's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What? How did that happen?" he asked, his voice incredulous. Zara smiled, about to respond, when her mind flashed back to a few minutes earlier... She was still at the mansion, standing in the hallway outside the master's office. The master's face was expressionless, but Zara could sense the tension emanating from him. Suddenly, Ms. Lee appeared, her face tense and worried. She was holding her iPad, her eyes fixed on the screen. "Miss Park, the interview is over." she said, her voice urgent. "You'll be resuming work tomorrow, and you'll be staying in the maid quarters." Zara's eyes widened in surprise, but she nodded quickly. "Yes, Ms. Lee," she said, turning to leave. As she walked away, she could feel the master's eyes on her, his gaze piercing... The flashback ended, and Zara's eyes refocused on Ji Yoon, who was still waiting for her response. "So, what's he like?" Ji Yoon asked, his eyes curious. Zara's eyes locked onto the screen, her expression thoughtful. "He's... intense," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
