Chapter Two: Graduation

*15 days until my Eighteenth birthday*

Tasi's POV

"TOMORROW WE GRADUATE, IM SO EXCITED!" One of my best friends Rae squeals. I call her "a ray of sunshine" because I swear she could brighten any room or make anyone happy just by her being present. She just gives off that type of vibe.

Gabbie and I look at each other and roll our eyes at our overly excited friend. Gabbie is the quietest of us three, she's smart like me but doesn't like to have any attention in her. She lives in a strict house from what I've seen. She spends all her time with me or Rae. We bring out a different side of Gabbie.

Gabbie quietly says "I don't want to get up and walk in front of everyone, it's making me nervous thinking about it." I look and her, smile and say "well you'll go right after me and who knows maybe I'll trip and fall since I'm so clumsy and everyone will be laughing at me that they won't be too focused on you." That makes her smile and forget about tomorrow and veing nervous about it.

The rest of the day we all laugh and watch TV. Mum orders us pizza and tells me that the girls are staying here for the night. We're all so excited to graduate tomorrow that we can barely sleep.

We get up around 8am and have breakfast. Graduation doesn't start until about 6pm, the school thought it would be a good idea to have it outside at the football field underneath the stadium lights. The three of us spend most of the morning and into the afternoon getting ready. But we only get showers and pick out clothes and ironing them. we didn't want to do out hair or makeup until it was closer to time. No one wants messy hair or makeup on a day when everyone in town will see you.

Around 5pm Mum hollers up the stairs asking if we're almosy ready to leave. The girls and I are finishing up the last bit of makeup before putting our outfits on. As we're walking down the stairs I hear mother say how beautiful we all look. I can't help but smile at her simple comment. Lucas is nowhere to be seen. "Mom where's Lucas?" I ask as I'm looking around for him to jump out and scare me. "Oh hunny, he had to go to work for a bit but he promised he'd meet us at the stadium for your graduation."

We all pile into Mum's car and start the short drive to the stadium, we're there in about 5 minutes. As we get out I see the rest of our graduating class talking and laughing with their parents and each other. "I wish your father could be here to see you graduate sweetie" my mum says pulling me out of my thoughts. Its almost like she knew what I was thinking. I nod in agreement. I'm still looking for Lucas, he promised he'd be here today. Finally I spot his car pulling in 10 minutes before I have to go take a seat and wait for the ceremony to start. I see him gets out but I can tell something is wrong. The look on his face was one of worry, I look over at Mum and see has the same look. It's almost like they're both thinking about the same thing or I don't know communicating with each other. Lucas gets over to where we are standing and whispers something to Mum but I can't make out what he said. "It's time for you to go take your seat Tasi." Mum says while scanning the stadium as if she was looking for someone to show up at any time.

I hug her and my brother before making way to my seat next to Gabbie. "Are you ready Gab?" She looks at me and smiles nervously "As ready as I'll ever be." I shoot her an apologetic smile right as Principal Dixon starts talking. After his long and boring speech he invites the dean to come up and start reading names of the graduating class. Finally he gets to my name. "Anastasie Winters, Summa c*m Laude, please come to the stage."

Looking around I see my brother and Mum smiling at me. They seem so proud of me. But that look is replaced with that of panic. I'm starting to worry and just want to get home.

I run over to them and try to get their attention but they aren't acknowledging me. Finally they snap out of it, and we head home. What was supposed to be a fun and amazing day has now turned into a sad and worry filled one.

We decide to order some pizza from the local pizzeria. we get ham and onion, a personal favorite of mine, and some buffalo wings. I absolutely love wings. After eating we decided to watch a movie. I picked my favorite which is Deadpool. We watched that then I went to take a shower and relax in my room before going to sleep. I put on my purple silk pajamas and started drawing. I keep drawing the same two things, a white wolf that was almost glowing and a pitch black one. The black one was so dark that it put the night sky to shame and had kind of a purple glow to it. I kept dreaming about them so I turned them into drawings. They were in various locations, like a meadow or by waterfall. Those were my favorite visions.

After drawing for a few hours I decided to go to bed. I was hoping to dream about these beautiful wolves again, I wanted to draw a new scene for the two. I truly hoped they were soul mates, they would make a perfect pair to me. As I drifted away to sleep the wolves appeared once more.
