Matthias' POV
Her scream rang in my ears. The hairs on my entire body stood to attention. My mate was in danger. Milah was in danger. My body was immediately in motion. I had to find her at once. I ran out of my office and ran down the stairs. I ran so fast that I practically flew out the back door. I ripped my shirt off. I shifted almost immediately. All of my clothes were shredded. I tried to mind-link her back.
"Milah?!" I ran so fast that everything around me was a blur. "Milah, I'm on my way! Where are you?"
Silence. I wasn't the type of wolf to be spiritual. I didn't pray. But that's what Milah did to me. She brought out that side of me. I prayed that she just wasn't able to mind-link me for whatever reason.
"Patty, where is my mate?! Patty are you both okay?!"
