-Mefan- The next morning, I heard the familiar sound of a lock clicking. Although my room was further away from Carter and Ladon, I hadn’t ventured back under deck until early in the morning. It was then that I heard the distinctive click and smiled. I strolled over to Ladon’s room and positioned myself in front of the door just as it began to open.
