-Carter- “Stopped killing that flower yet?” I heard Mefan ask from behind me. I glanced over my shoulder, irritated, and displayed the dead flower in my hand. He simply chuckled, performed a subtle gesture with his hand, and the flower sprang back to life. Holding the flower in my gloved hand, I used the bare one to touch it, watching it wilt time and time again. I was growing weary of this tiresome routine. However, as I was on the verge of snuffing out the fragile bloom once more, something caught my eye up ahead.
