CHAPTER 9

Ronan’s pov

I and Adrian finally went to the part of the land that he needed for his pack training. It was a vast area of land so it took us hours to completely show him around the land. After the tour, we sat down, then the pack guard gave us drinks.

“so Adrian, how do you see the land, i hope is enough for what you need it for and it’s to your taste” i asked him as i took a sip from my glass.

“Yes, i really love the place and it is exactly how i want it to be. Thank you so much Ronan.” Adrian said as he sipped from his glass and smiled at me. We both kept discussing on how he is going to use and when he will start his construction on the land when my beta came to me.

“Alpha Ronan, someone is here to see you” Gabriel said to me. I didn't know who would want to meet me in the middle of the woods so i asked some guards to come and stand near incase it was someone harmful. Although i could handle it but i can’t fight in the outfit i am in i said as i smiled to myself.

“gabriel who wants to see me” i asked my beta.

“Alpha, he said i shouldn't tell you who he is” Gabriel replied. I just sighed and signaled for him to let the person in. As Gabriel came in with the person, i couldn't believe my eyes. I didn’t know that i will ever see this face again.

“Darius!” i called out as i stood up and went to hug him.

“How have you been and where have you been bro, i searched everywhere for you but couldn't find you” i asked him.

“I ran out after the incident ronan, and went into hiding and i have been good bro. I missed you so much” Darius said to me as we hugged again.

“I do miss you too, what are you doing here? I didn't expect anyone to be around this area darius” i asked him curiously to what he was doing inside the woods alone.

“Well i came to hunt, cause it is very difficult to get preys where i stay, then i heard your voice and came to check if my guess where right” darius said. I was so pleased to finally see him again.

“Why not come back with me to the pack darius?” i asked him. “I can’t ronan, i will come visit you some other time but i can’t visit you now and i have something important to do today” Darius told me. I was disappointed that i won’t go back with him but i was pleased that i finally saw him after so many years. After discussing a little, we said our goodbyes and parted ways.

Amelia’s pov

I have been so stressed out lately, Alys and valera has been arguing since morning and i don't even know what to do about the two of them.

“Alys what is really your problem we aren’t even in heat yet so why are you looking for a male wolf?” I asked her.

“And the are all worthless, after that Alpha broke you, she is still looking for male wolves” valera said.

“I just need a mate, is that too much to ask for?” Alys asked in a sad tone.

“Alys, we have already been rejected by our mate, so we can’t have another one and i am not ready to have another mate Alys, i am sorry” i told her sadly. I wasn’t ready to give my trust a d love to another jerk that will take me for granted.

I strolled in the woods with my two sides keeping me company and arguing at every point when all of a sudden the stopped. Alys started to act weird even Valera but she was calmer than Alys. At first i didn't really take it as anything until it became serious.

“Alys, what is wrong with you?” i asked her really worried.

“I don't know Amelia, i just feel weirdly excited”Alys responded. I called out for valera but she didn't respond or give any sign that she was present.

“Should we go back?” i asked alys. “No Amelia, let’s continue” Alys replied.

We continued our journey but Alys was becoming more restless and i also started to feel the strange energy hummed beneath my skin, bringing warmth in my chest that i couldn't explain. My heartbeat was suddenly faster than usual, not from fear but from anticipation that i didn't understand. I tired reaching out to valera too but seems she was struggling to keep calm too. The more we got deeper into the forest, the more serious it got. The scent of wild honey and midnight rain filled the air, but there was another strong scent of dark cocoa and pine both elusive yet intoxicating. Then as i walked closer, i heard voices of different males but inside that gathering, i felt two strong presence then i didn't know when the words i dreaded most left my lips “MATES”. My wolf rejoiced in excitement while my vampire remained calm. Our eyes locked and i could feel myself wanting to be near them, to feel their warmth and to take in more of their scent. I wanted their body so close to my body that it could suffocate me. I knew it was the mate bond but if i didn't leave there at the moment, i would regret it so i did what i knew how to do best, i ran very fast into the woods, i couldn't let history repeat itself. I didn't understand why the moon goddess gave me a second chance mate and the were two. I just couldn't accept them as my mate. If we eventually cross path again, i will be the one to reject them i though to myself as l ran deeper into the woods.

Adrian’s pov

As i and ronan where still discussing and having fun together, i started feeling very strange. My vampire who hasn't surfaced in a while cause he wasn't in support of me taking in different women and not getting married finally surfaced. I felt something like a force drawing me. Vampires aren’t known to have mates, we get married to any woman of our choice and mark her making her our soul mate so i didn't understand why i was having this feeling. My vampire valen was also confused about this but i knew he was also very happy. I looked at Ronan and he looked so pale like he was fighting with himself. So i asked him what the problem is then he told me that he can feel the presence of his mate but he can’t just figure out where she is. We both stood up confused on what to do when a strong scent of lavender and moonflower filled the air which surprisingly calmed me. As we kept searching, we both felt a presence by a tree, as we looked at her. My vampire and his wolf both called out mate at the same time. Although we didn't see her clearly but i knew she will be really beautiful. But the next thing that happened was what got us scared, she ran away without looking back. We both looked at each other before he immediately ordered his guards to follow her and we also joined in the search too.
