Osamagbe is a good cook especially when it comes to her favourite rice and she is good with house chores but she does not like education or want to evolve in any trade and does not like farm work either this is why she must be married off now before is too late. It was time, the elders enacted the marriage vows between the two families, and the time had come for the bride to be giving to her new family Mr Fridays heart began to beat faster he can't wait for the final momentsHere comes the gougeous bride with her head bent down too shy to look any in the face, An uncle counted her on the lap of her father in law to be, for so it was in the tradition of Ukogbon to be counted on the lap of the father of the groom or any one representing the grooms father, They would count from number one to seven, the brides uncle will hold the bride by the shoulder while she sits on her father in laws lap, the uncle help her to raise up while the elders count each time so he raises till seven times , So it was that at the sevent count every body shout for joy and congratulates the new family.Osamagbe continues to cry but she had no choice than to go for she has been fully paid for, She now belong to another family.
