chapter 2: prepare for war

Wright's POV

I made sure I did all the research the last night so the operation won't be delayed.

I went to Mr bob office after finding many evidence. I knocked twice then he told me to come in.

I saluted as always and wanted to dive into the conversation immediately.

Mr bob sat on his chair looking at the Zuda map. He was also working to get some informations.

"You are here, wright. So early." He said as his eyes lit.

" Yes sir." I responded without blinking.

" Have your seat." Mr bob looked at me then to the chair at his front.

He looks at me as though he knew more about me even though he was the one who took me to the military.

I sat. Head straight.

" Director, I've got some reports." I said as I stroll down the military tab.

" Okay, so what did you find?" Mr bob asked.

He wore his eye glass and sat up. Hands held together on the table beside the Zuda map.

" The Zuda bandits current location is in the thick Zuda forest. The North side, and I found out they have been staying there for days now." I said as I opened the location in the military tab then gave it to Mr Bob.

" So, their current location is in the dark forest." Mr bob sighed hard.

He pursed for a while and kept looking at the screen. I waited patiently to hear his next word because he was always like that when I bring a report for an operation.

" I knew you would find the location faster." Mr bob said as a smile appeared at the corner of his lips.

I smiled briefly then returned back to the conversation.

" I found out they have a lot of security in that area so I concluded it must be their head quarter. I said looking straight into his eyes.

" Okay, then we should prepare for the operation now. There is no time to waste." Mr bob said as he gave back the military tab to me.

" What should I do next, sir?" I asked after taking the tab.

I knew what to do next, I needed to get what he has to say as the director.

" Prepare for war!" He looked into my eyes.

I knew he was going to say that.

" Make sure to inform the soldiers so they can also prepare." He stated.

" Okay sir." I replied as I took a look at the tab.

" You can go now, I will call you later in the evening." He said.

I remembered I have to ask him one more question.

" Sir, when are we going for the operation?" I asked as I stood.

" On Wednesday. The victims must not be harmed." He uttered.

" Okay sir." I stood up.

I saluted and went out of the office immediately.

I went to the dinning in the evening after another meeting with Mr bob.

I knew I've grown so well to become the man beauty admires after I finally find her.

I walked into the dinning. The soldiers sighted me and they all stood up to greet.

" Good evening, high boss." They all chorused.

" Good evening soldiers, you can have your seat." I said then they all sat.

I sat on the chair and ate.

After done eating, I stood up to get the soldiers attention.

" I need your attention, soldiers. " I said as I looked at all the soldiers in the room.

They all stood up immediately then I walked to the front side to get the full version of the soldiers.

" I have an announcement to make." I said firmly.

" Okay sir." They chorused.

" We are going for another operation on Wednesday so I want you soldiers to prepare before then. " I stated.

" Yes sir." They chorused again.

" The operation will be carried out in Zuda because our men are trapped. " I further said.

" Okay, high boss." They chorused.

I stood there for a while looking at each face standing in front of me.

" Now, let's speak out our pledge because that is what makes us who we are." I stated.

" I will never give up in any way. I will fight for our great nation. I pledge to my great country to be United and loyal." The soldiers chorused loud.

Something in me responded to the pledge. I must really fight for my country and never go back on my pledge.

" Yes, you can go now." I said and smiled briefly.

" Thank you, high boss." The soldiers smiled.

After eating in the dinning, the soldiers went to their room to get ready for their training.
